How to Multipoint Pair Headphones with the Skullcandy App

Without multipoint pairing, you are scrambling to disconnect one device and connect to the other before you miss the call. With multipoint pairing enabled through the Skullcandy App, your headphones handle the switch automatically. Phone call comes in, audio shifts over. Call ends, music resumes. Zero friction.

Here is exactly how to set it up.

WHAT IS MULTIPOINT PAIRING?

Multipoint pairing lets your headphones or earbuds stay connected to two devices at the same time. Think phone and laptop, tablet and computer, or work phone and personal phone. Your audio switches seamlessly between them based on what is actively playing or calling. No manual disconnecting, no re-pairing every time you switch. Just connected, all the time.

It is one of the most useful features built into compatible Skullcandy products, and the Skullcandy App makes it easy to toggle on and manage in seconds.

WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE YOU START

Before diving in, make sure you have these covered:

A compatible Skullcandy product (see the full list below)
The Skullcandy App downloaded on your primary device (iOS or Android)
Your headphones or earbuds already paired to the Skullcandy App
Two devices you want to connect simultaneously

HOW TO ENABLE MULTIPOINT PAIRING IN THE SKULLCANDY APP

Step 1: Open the Skullcandy App. Make sure your compatible headphones or earbuds are powered on and connected. You should see your product appear on the home screen of the app.

Step 2: Tap your connected product. This opens the Product Configuration screen for your specific device.

Step 3: Find Multipoint Pairing in the settings. Scroll through the available features and tap Multipoint Pairing. It is listed under the Simplify Your Listening feature set in the app.

Step 4: Toggle Multipoint Pairing on. when you toggle multipoint on, this will allow your product to connect to multiple devices.

Step 5: Connect your second device. Put your product in pairing mode. On the second device, open its Bluetooth settings and find your Skullcandy product in the list of available devices. Tap to connect. Both devices are now paired simultaneously.

Step 6: Start listening. That is all. Audio from whichever device is active will come through your headphones. When a call or audio starts on the second device, your headphones will automatically route to it.

PRO TIPS FOR MULTIPOINT PAIRING

Tip 1: Set your priority device. Your phone is usually the best primary device since calls will route through it automatically. Keep it as your first connection.

Tip 2: Use Low Latency mode for gaming or video. If you are using one of your paired devices for gaming or watching video, toggle Low Latency on in the app for the best audio-to-video sync. Note that Low Latency and Multipoint Pairing may not run simultaneously on all products, so check your settings.

Tip 3: Toggle it off when you only need one device. If you are in a focused session and only need one connection, disabling Multipoint Pairing can improve audio stability. Flip it back on whenever you need it.
