After an unforgettable debut, the Skullcandy Crusher Cup Skate Invitational is back for Year 2, with a stacked lineup of some of the best skaters to roll through Salt Lake City. As a proud partner of the Kilby Block Party Music Festival, Skullcandy continues to show up at the intersection of music and board sports, fueling the culture where sound meets skate.
The Comp: Teams, Tricks, and Talent
The Crusher Cup isn’t your usual contest, it’s a team vs. team format built for creativity and hype. Skaters threw down across both Street and Park setups, with six teams made up of 20 pros and SLC-based team captains.
Team Nora passed along the Crusher Cup to team Nikoli, after they put a beat down on the Vans Park at the Utah Fairgrounds with standout tricks by Jamie Foy, Gustavo Ribiero, and Oski Rozenberg.
"Theres nothing like watching the best of the best skate in person at that level." Says Alex Sherman.
The energy around the park was constant. Every trick landed was met with crowd noise, camera flashes, and sirens from the dj booth. The vibes were electric.
"All the teams went off.” - the boss Andrew Reynolds.
More than a Skate Contest
The Crusher Cup at Kilby isn’t just an event, it’s a celebration of the community that connects skating, music, and creative expression. It’s the kind of space where everyone, from up-and-coming locals to touring pros, from music heads to casual fans, feels part of something.
"Truly one of the best weekends of the year.” from Ryan Townley."
It wasn’t about putting on a show, it was about being part of something real. Skullcandy’s here for the people, and we’re just getting started.
