I like the product, but

"I like the product, but I expected more of a bass boost out of this speaker. I am having issues with turning this speaker off and I am still unsure if this speaker is turned off completely. I do want to know why the speaker is considered waterproof when the charging port is completely open with no cover on it? If this speaker was waterproof, wouldn’t the charging port for the product have to be covered and protected with a flush rubber seal?"

Pretty solid speaker and honestly

"Pretty solid speaker and honestly whoever is behind this re-imaging of Skullcandy's products is making moves. It maybe isn't a fair comparison but I bought this speaker to compare to my JBL Go 5 and it out performs by a long shot. Never have been displeased with the JBL brand speaker but I have been waiting forever for Skullcandy to come out with something competitive in style and sound and Session does that. The Terrain sound was fine for a speaker but the Session line not only sounds but it looks better. I'm the type that doesn't like to mismatch brands but always have with my mobile sound because I didn't think Skullcandy had a full competitve offering. The Session speaker just completed it for me. I will be buying the 540 and 900 as long as they keep it around in place of my JBLs."

I wish I could give

"I wish I could give this speaker a higher rating because it does sound pretty good for it's size. Unfortunately the battery life is pretty poor. Skullcandy claims an average battery life of 17 hours but I've never gotten more than six hours, even at a pretty moderate volume, before it gives me an audible warning that the battery needs to charge. Maybe I got one that is messed up or has a faulty battery. Six hours is the best I've gotten. I use it pretty much daily at work and I always have to keep a charger in my pocket. It's really a shame because I love Skullcandy's headphones. I've had the original Cruhers, the Crusher EVO, and now the new Aviator 900 ANC's. Plus I pretty much always have a pair of Push earbuds in my pocket. All have served me well. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to use headphones in the busy kitchen at work (safety hazard)"
