Put on my ipod touch and turn it on, I hear the sound from the ipod but it doesn't play thru the speakers. Input light won't go on either. Is my dock broke? Just opened it!

Answer:

you might be using the wrong adapter, as I did initially. This is probably because the adapter you used doesn't allow your ipod to go down all the way and it doesn't fully connect, except when you apply pressure down. Try using it without an adapter to see if it works. If it does, just find the right adapter or don't use one at all. If it doesn't work, contact skullcandy for a replacement.

Answer:

You can play music through the aux port or charge and play with an adapter (30 pin to lightning). With the adapter, I don't know if track control will work on the controller. I think the volume control on the remote will still work.

No, this is wall powered. Most large speaker systems that use batteries get worse sound quality on battery power anyway.

Yes, you can play music through the included cord. Only you cannot charge and play in the docking area and the remote won't work since it requires an apple device to be docked on the speakers rather than plugged in like you would be doing.
