Great sound can be very loud if u want the volume control is very well built and seems like it would last. Overall great price for the quality. I had the titans from 2007. They were great but failed in the line of duty. No worries, warranty covered it and sent me the new ones. Let me tell you they have improved these things ten fold.

Denser cord to keep from being punctured, however its not like most dense cords in the sense that when its cold, it doesn't stiffen up too much.

The base is much deeper/richer than the old titans.

The volume control is a great feature to add. It's especially nice when your at work and the boss needs to talk to you. No more ripping these things out of your ear to here someone speak.

Overall, I was satisfied with my old ones but these new ones kick a$$.

I purchased the titans a few years back. Unfortunately, they failed in the line of duty. No worries, the warranty covered it and they sent me these new ones. Let me tell you, they have improved the overall design on these babies ten fold. The Cord is denser and less likely to get punctured, yet they don't get stiff in cold weather like most dense cords. The BASS...OH THE BASS. Much deeper/richer than my old 2007 versions. The volume control is nice, especially when your at work and the boss needs to say something, now you don't have to rip them out of your ear or fumble around in your pocket to pause.

I was a satisfied customer with my old titans, however these new ones RULE!

These were my first IEM's and i loved them. The highs were clear and the amplified bass made a lot of songs more enjoyable. The driver was a good choice for these cans. A proper bass port would make the bass more subtle but again, i can see the direction SC was going with these.

Got these as a gift for my daughter....talk about thrilled...says they are the best set of ear "buds" she has ever listened to...the sound is super crisp and clear...a "must" for someone as finicky as she is with her music.... and blocks out all outside noise.......so don't hesitate to buy these as a gift for anyone you really care about.. they will be pleased and you won't see a return for any reason....next on my gift list....a set for me....so I don't have to listen to the wife asking me to do "honey do's"...

This product is better than my last pairs of headphones-Zxl Brickyard, iPod Stock, and Zune Stock. The bass quality is very good and the music is very clear. Worth the $40. I will also not pay for headphones any more expensive than that.Very good deal for your money. Like another review, the color is not black, but is a dark gray, gunmetal color. The headphones and volume control are very light because they are made out of aluminum. With these headphones on, you can't hear anything around you. Also, the volume control is pretty handy. Overall, this is a very good product for your money.

Overall, I am very pleased with this product. I have had them for about a week and a half and I feel I can give an adequate review.

Pros:
Very Loud- with these headphones, i can set the volume at halfway on my iPod and 3/4 on the volume control and the sound comes through crystal clear and a good volume. I do not blast my music, rather have it just enough to tune out any surrounding noise.
Sound Isolation- For my ears, the medium tips fit just perfect in my ears. They are a rather deep in your ear bud, but it gives a good feeling that the music is actually inside your head.
Cord- i dont know how i feel about the cord. it is an unusual idea to have it aluminum then coated with plastic and i dont know how this will last in the long run, but for now, it feels good and does an ok job of not getting tangled.
Case- I thought it was good to include the hard shell case to protect the earbuds. i use it when i put them in my pocket and have never really experienced any tangles.
Bass- Probably the most important to people. I listen to mainly rock but an assortment of hip hop too. these earbuds do very well with bass for being earbuds and for the price. however they have nothing on a pair of bose or audio technica over-ear headphones.

Cons:
Treble- This to me is more important than bass. i feel that too many headphones and earbuds skip over this area. I use treble booster equalizer on most on my hard rock/metal songs and these earbuds sounded a little like coming out of a tin can. However, over-ear headphones also glance over this area which disappoints me.
Volume Control- This is kind of the wrong name for the volume slider. it is so short and hard to move with precision, its only use is really to quiet the music when someone is talking to you to be able to hear them.

Overall, i think these earbuds are worth the $40 price tag and are a good choice for someone who really enjoys bass, but for the mids and highs junkie like me, there are better suited earbuds for your needs. 4 out of 5 skulls.
