      Just your Average

      June 18th, 2013

      by Ean

these headphones are just average. there is simply nothing special about them, they just sound like any other headphones you may hear. after a while these start to hurt you ears, and the sound is really low. I've had mine for a little over 7 months now, and they are still working fine, but that's because i barely use them. i say if your going to by headphones save for the Aviators or at least the Hesh 2.0. i recommend the aviators more though.

Love them minus when they broke

      June 14th, 2013

      by Claire

My parents got my sister and I each a pair of these headphones for Christmas 2012. It is now June 2013 and they no longer work. Ours both stopped working within the same week. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE these headphones. They have great sound quality, they are pretty comfortable unless you wear them for hours on end (which I do). They fit nicely (unless you bend over, then they fall off my head). I loved basically everything about these headphones...except now they don't work. The sound started fading and then BAM! Hardly any sound at all. We've tested them on multiple electronics so it's not just my laptop or the computer speakers-its the headphones. I am devastated about this, considering I love these headphones. I take fairly good care of them. I have not dropped them, yanked them out of the headphone jack, stepped on them, or anything. I would recommend buying these, just be careful. You might want to keep your receipt.

      meh....even by Skullcandy standards

      May 28th, 2013

      by H1r0ll3r

The fit on these is okay. They're lightweight and fit on your ears pretty well. Sound quality is seriously lacking. Whatever level you listen to you music at, you'll need to boost it up quite a bit with these headphones. Even at half volume on my iPod, I can barely hear anything from the speakers. When I use my Ink'd or Heavy Medals, it's super loud. I don't understand why there is such a disparity in performance between these headsets. The ONLY reason I continue to use Skullcandy is because of their warranty. I just got these in the mail today but I'm quite certain that within a few months, something will go wrong with these, I'll send them back and then I'll get another poorly made headset to use for the next few months; rinse/repeat. If you want some cheap earphones then just go with the Ink'd or even some other brand since they'll probably last longer.

      Great Headphones!

      March 14th, 2013

      by Emilio

I got these headphones for christmas and thought to myself, "Hmm...not Beats, but hopefully will work." So I opened them up, and tested them with my Android phone. I was amazed at how well they work!! True the bass could be better, but that all changes if you have a MP3 device or a phone that has the 'equalizer' function in it, and turn the equalizer to 'Techno' (if able to. If unable, try to find he setting with most bass). It works perfectly! After a little while my ears do start to irritate, but i don't mind that so much. The sound is great, especially when I turn the volume to full blast. I've had these bad boys for 3 months and I have seen no problem with them. I definitely recommend them to those who look to buy these. (BTW, these are my first Skullcandy headphones.) They work great! There is one minor thing. Sometimes when I listen to my music (Dubstep) one headphone (either left or right) starts to tune over the other. To those experiencing the same problem, here's the solution: Whichever one tunes over the other, in volume, just take the other one and put it in front of or behind the corresponding ear just for about..5-10 seconds, then put it back. The volume should be exactly, or very close to, the same. I have yet to find a major flaw with these headphones.

I've had these for 3 months and I'm still far past satisfied with the sound delivery of these headphones. I use them all the time with my IPad and IPhone and have had no issues with comfort nor sound quality. I've even worked out with them on without worrying about them falling off. A great set of headphones. When I next upgrade, I'll likely stick with the skullcandy brand.

They are very comfortable to wear for 1-2 hours, but not more than 3 hours. the support piece holding the 2 ear cups together is flexible, yet durable. i can twist the headphones 180 degrees and not feel any stress on them at all. the sound quality is extremely good as well. the bass is magnificent, it is so good i would compare them to beats!

The Skullcandy uprock are a great low price, entry level headphone for active teens. The frame is made of a durable and flexible plastic that make these headphones feel quite sturdy. The sound quality is pretty good for the price and they deliver the bass with decent balance in the highs. The mids struggle to keep up as well with the bass but you can still hear your music with clarity. I like the ergonomics and style for these low range headphones so yes I do recommend these to young and active kids who like big bass, tough build quality, and some uniqueness in headphone styling.

I love these headphones, they have good sound and are more comfortable than most headphones I have owned. I have small ears and have a really hard time finding headphones that do not put a ton of weight on them which causes pain after wearing them for extended amounts of time, and this is what I found. Absolutely worth the price, and if I had to make the decision again I would go with these; I have had these almost a year now and they have done well for me.

These were actually the first pair of headphones I received. I immediately fell in love with Skullcandy, and I've been attached to them ever since. These have great sound quality, and the ear-muff like speakers are great, except that they might feel uncomfortable wearing them after a while. I was deeply saddened when I pulled out the jack from my computer, and the jack was lodged inside the computer. I had to go to Apple to get it removed, but I was a little more disheartened about the headphones than the computer.

I am wearing these right now I gotta admit it's pretty good, my first time every using a pair of skulcandy's. They look excellent (all skullcandy's do). The quality isn't the best I would give the quality 4 star. It's really not that durable it could brake really easily so you have to take good care of them. The comfort is good also and I also give that 4 star, I could wear for about 4 hours after that your ears start to really heat up and burn. Overall I would really recommend this. Al thought if you look at the picture for the white/black version (on the package and website) you will see they show it having a white wire, but when you get it the wire is black, I don't really mind that I was just pointing it out.

I bought Sony PIIQ headphones for Christmas 2012 and they ended up not working (for some mysterious reason). I got these for my birthday and let me tell you, they are amazing. The bass is heavy enough and when listening to music with lyrics, the sound is clear and crystal. I heard how SC produces good quality headphones and I am not disappointed! I would choose these opposed to another Sony PIIQ headphones. I bought them at Zumiez. Buy them and you will not regret.

These headphones are great for the price. But i dont know if these people that are saying great things about them have had them for that long. They will definatly last you a month but i've had mine for a year now and they're falling apart. and i don't misuse them at all. The plastic is cheap and will break if you carry them in a bag with other stuff in it. and the wire will wear out and you'll have to move it around to get full sound like all headphones. so if you want something just for a little while. these are good. but if you're looking for something to last a long tme don't get them.

They are pretty comfortable if you are just looking to listen for a shorter period of time, however, they do start to hurt your ears after an hour of two of listening. I have seen tons and tons of people comparing these to the beats studios, but lets face it, the beats studios are 10x the price, but are they really 10x better? These are a great buy for anyone looking for a cheap new pair of headphones.

i am a very big dubstep fan, so i need something with good sound and bass. The uprocks did just that. I've always been a big fan of skullcandy and these headphones were not disappointing. The comfort could be a bit better but non of the less thses are amazing headphones.

I picked these up at Best Buy for around 30 bucks. I've got to say, best 30 bucks I've ever spent. I've had them for over a year and a half now and still works beautifully with the exception of a few scratches. This says a lot because it doesn't come in a case or a microfiber bag or anything. Not to mention, I'm not the most careful person with my stuff. For about a year, I just tossed it into my backpack and went with it before I found an old skullcandy cloth bag for it. Not a single problem. I also use them for my computer and I've run them over with my chair more than a few times and got stuck once. I was sure that the wire would've snapped but nope. This thing refuses to break. Pros: -Cheap -Durable -Clear audio -Tangle proof cable (They mean it too!) Cons: -Since it's an on-ear type of headphones, expect it to hurt after a while of listening and the headphones pressing onto your head. -Super long cable (could be a pro if you're tall, not so much for me) -Not too much bass quality. (I have some cheap $20 buds from wal-mart with more bass) -I wish they could've thrown a case or a bag for a few bucks extra.

I gotta admit, when I picked these up at Target for $30.00 last month, I thought they looked like garbage. I was greatly mistaken. These could be the best pair of headphones I've ever had. They're comfortable, they fit perfectly, and the bass is excellent. Only flaw, they don't have a protective case, so I get kinda worried with them at the bottom of my backpack. GET THESE. YOU WON'T REGRET.

I have had these head phones for about a year and I have had almost no problems. I got them for 19.99 which was one of the best 20 bucks ive ever spent. Pretty good sound, good style, non tangle cord are all pluses. My only concern about them is that since they are on ear, they can push your ears down after a few hours of listening. This is a minor con. I would recommend them if you want good sound for a great price.

      year long review

      April 4th, 2012

      by Alex

These headphones are pretty good, they have a couple of pros and a couple cons though too. Some pros include the druability of them. Ive had the same pair for around 10 months to a year and they still work fine. However i, unlike some people, don't throw mine around. If you are a person who throws them around, like any pair of headphones or earbuds-they wont last. But if you're careful and treat them right they will last a very long time. Price is very suited for these and the tangle free cord is great. Audio quality is decent. Now remember these are 'on-ear' headphones so dont expect a lot of bass. However they can reach some of those real low beats. I listen to anything from metal to rap to soft acoustic and they sound pretty decent. Clean highs too. They aren't the best sounding headphones but if you really understand headphone capability then you'll know that for on-ear, its pretty good. Then the one main con: comfortability. I mean they aren't terrible but if you where headphones for long periods then you won't want these. and if you wear glasses don't get these, they will squeeze the side of the glasses between your ear and head. But again-not terrible. They'll do justice. Overall they do what they're supposed to. You get people who throw them around and then rate it terrible or expect way too much and that isnt how to rate headphones. on a 1-10(for on-ear specifically) they are about a 7-8. Yes i recommend these and again, if you treat headphones right you'll love the durability

These headphones are absolutely amazing, and by far the best that I've ever used. What I love about them are :their lightweight but sturdy design, comfortable fit with adjustable length, beautiful sound quality, I also love how even when I have the sound all the way turned up I don't feel as if I'm about to go def, and the tangle-free cable. What I don't like: in my personal opinion the only downside to these headphones are that they do not have a way to adjust the sound with out having to turn down the audio on your music device.

I have had my pair for about a year now and I like them a lot. They are great on sound, for a thirty bucks, and they would be even better if they were more comfortable. I wear glasses and they push them into my ears a little. So yes I would recommend this, for people without glasses.

      Uprocks are worth it

      March 22nd, 2012

      by Hector

I've had these for a few days now, and I'm really liking them. The tangle-proof TPE (typical rubber cable) seriously comes in handy. No more will I have to figure out how to untie the magically tied wires. The Polished Piano Black really make them very stylish. The sound is reeally nice. I listen to a lot of Dubstep, Electro, etc., and although most, if not All of them have lots of bass, the Uprocks still pull it off. The only real concern I've had is that after almost 45 minutes of continous use, they tend to get a bit heated, and start to bother the outer edges of my ears. Apart from that, they're very worth the buy. I recommend these for those who love listening to that sick bass, but not listen to too much of it.

After about two weeks, after taking care of them, the cable is ruined. I have to tightly press a few spots on the headphone's cable to get one side to work, then the other. I constantly have to tape it to get it to work. If I get up, I come back, and I have to retape it because I ruined it. The cable is too flat, I think that's why it broke so easily. It's thin and flat, it's so infuriating, I loved these headphones. I feel infuriated when I have to use my cheap $9 headphones as replacement for these amazing headphones.

    Answer:
it probably depends on what you listen to and what you want from your headphones. beats were created mainly for rap music and may have slightly nicer sound quality. they may also be a little tougher than hesh. but it is not worth spending over 150 dollars on headphones that really are not much better than the hesh witch are 50 to 60 dollars.

    Answer:
Skullcandy headphones work for any 3.5mm jack. If you are asking about the button feature on the mic'd, the android music player does not support the skip/previous option on headsets. You may have to install a 3rd party music player for that. From experience, TTPod has the settings for the mic'd button to skip songs.
