I was really blown away when I started using them by bass sound and overpowering sound, but later realised that the sound quality is sub optimal compared to other brands in this price bracket. Even though I used them mostly at home, after 14 months the cable wore off at the plug and had to throw them away.

I owned these headphones a while ago and loved them. The sound quality was great and the bass was the best I had ever heard. The only issue I had was chord durability. If you want these to last it is imperative you don't let the place where the chord attaches the jack bend. That is how mine broke. I moved on and have yet to find headphones with bass quality that even comes close to these.

I started out using their ear buds (which are by FAR the best earbuds you can get for the price) then I wanted a decent pair of headphones. I went through a couple of different pairs of headphones (from Asus to Beats to Sony). These are the last headphones I ever bought... Kind of THAT BEING SAID THERE ARE SOME CONSIDERABLE DOWNFALLS. They become uncomfortable after a period of time, the support is hard plastic. I love the bass and the sound quality is decent but I've owned three pairs of these because they break (and they all broke in different places) and I DO take care of them.

These headphones are fantastic, and very comfortable. And although they are good, they're not too much different from normal headphones without the subwoofer on. I recommend getting the new ones if you really enjoy bass. Overall, these are great, reliable and sturdy headphones, can't go wrong.

These headphones are great the base hits hard and if you take good care of them they work great but they have their downsides as well like the base is monotone just the same sound after a while like 3 hours or so they can get uncomfortable but all and all theyare pretty good

I bought these headphones because my other ones broke and I had a warranty which is one reason I would reccomend skull candy. They stand behind their products.. I bought these to take to school because I have a long bus ride and it's convenient that they fold up to fit in my bag. They have a good sound quality as long as you have batteries for the bass part!

let me start by saying I have owned my skull crushers for years and I really like them. They are pretty comfortable but the get uncomfortable after an hour or so (like most headphones). I find these headphones to be a little bulky but they're not to bad. My biggest complaint about these headphones is the thing you put the batteries in and adjust the bass boost with, it is constantly in the way and it is very annoying. I actually don't really use the bass boost all that much, It sounds great but i always forget to turn off the bass when i'm done using them so every time I use them they are dead but that's my own fault the headphones still work with out the AA battery and still sound great. I would recommend these headphones to anyone who wants over ear headphones but doesn't want to get some crazy expensive ones I think they are a great quality for the price.

This head phone surprised me in a lot of way. One it sounded awesome for the price. Two it looked pretty sweet I got the light blue one and loving it since day one. Three when I got it in from the mail I was pretty disappointed when I saw the design but boy was I wrong this thing can take a beating. I'm a yell leader (sport that you throw girls in the air and does crazy flips) I travel a lot and have a tendency to sleep with the headphone on all of the other brands break because of that, been using this for almost a year now not even a crack. also I like to listen to music when I throw girls in the air and have a few girls flew off and knocked it off or even landed on it again no problem. went paintball with it once, got hit with a paintball also no problems saved my ear from get shot at so I love everything about this headphone and the bass.....so good

These headphones are simply enchanting for your ears. The quality is great, and the bass enhancer is pretty amazing. While all this is really nice, they look kinda funny because of the way they clamp (yes, clamp) onto your head. The colour is darker than the photo (which was nice for me, the blue seemed too light) and they are small. And they will wear out, mine haven't broken yet and I've had them for maybe 4 months now, and I've noticed little cracks at where the extensions go out to fit your head better. Because of their awkward shape, the extensions have to bend weirdly to fit, and this causes little cracks along the outside. Mine haven't broken yet, but I see it in the near future. But when the time comes, I will replace them ASAP.

I will admit when I first got my skullcrushers I judged then my their look. They look and feel like cheap plastic and they were labeled as only .50 lbs. I put them on and plugged in my iPod and was disappointed at first. I started playing around with multiple genres of music, EQ settings and woofer strengths, they sounded very "raspy" at first with kind of a crackling noise. I set them to the highest bass and let them play for a little while and after "breaking them in" the bass became more booming and the cracking sounds went away, but I do have to keep my iPod on "small speaker" EQ or it will sound raspy again. The volume could be a little higher and it would be nice to have some bass without the subwoofer on.... But final verdict.... I'm in love with my skullcrushers even though I haven't had the chance to see how long the AA battery will last.... Guess I'll be carrying a few batteries around for a while :) thanks skullcandy for an amazing product .... Even though it could be a little cheaper.... :)

these are good headphones flat out for any kind of music, the bass, mids, and, highs are clearly defined. the bass is different and takes some getting used to but is true and clear. these are a great buy and are pretty beastly if you like listing to music in a car or at home on pc. and games sound awesome to!!! you actually feel like your on a battlefield fighting for your life!! explosions feel more intense and you can feel them to!

These are some of the best looking Skullcandys, but they are also very cheaply made. There are some (such as Hesh) that are cheaper, sound better and look cooler than the skullcrushers. Don't let the cords get caught on anything with any of your skullcandys btw.

These headphones do what they are supposed to. If you're the kind of person who has a subwoofer in your car, then you'll probably dig these. However, just like the sub in your car, you have to adjust the levels. The remote works great, and they sound great once you find the sweet spot. However, you can make your music sound like trash if you want to, all you have to do is turn the bass on the remote all the way up (imagine someone who's car sounds like someone farting because their sub is clipping). Also, they bump. So if you listen to jazz or concert music sometimes, you need to buy a different pair just for that (like the aviators), because they're designed for music that bumps. The mids and highs aren't washed out; adjust your levels on the remote and use an equalizer if you have one. Peace.

OK so this is the 3rd pair Ive had since 2003 and i listen heavy and a lot, and every time they have broken (once the bass stopped working and the other time the male audio jack pulled out) skull candy has sent me replacements free of charge. These are the best earphones for drowning out white noise and basically any noise but whats playing. Would recommend these to everyone, accept i don't recommend them for the gym. your ears get kind of sweaty, but that's what buds are for Skull candy is a great company that stands behind what they make, even if you break it on your own (read my review of the smokin buds for details about that one)

The Woofers that Bark

Every time I listen to my Crushers, I fall in love again and again. The Bass well... what do you expect.... EPIC! The mids and highs are drowned out a little bit, but they are still clearly audible. Love the vibration! The only con I have other than the bass-heaviness is the feel on my ears, my ears are small but the top of my ear gets pushed against my head and becomes sore after about a hour.

These skullcrushers do just that, they vibrate your head so much. I love them. I love them so much that I am using them right now as I right this review. The only over the ear headphones I had before this were the skullcandy saints row the third headphones. Those were great, but they cannot compare to these. The only bad part is the look, they lood a little funny. They are also small on the head. I have to stretch them all the way out just to fit over my head. Overall a great set of headphones that are comfortable and definitely worth the money.

These are mad crazy! They're so loud and the bass cant be matched. They really are top notch quality headphones with superb sound quality. The only thing is they run mad small, i have to have them extended all they way down to fight just right, and there a little small with a hat or beanie on. And my head is decently big but not huge, i wear a size 7 1/2 size fitted and to snaps off on a snapback. But overall they are just absolutley amazing headphones.

The Subwoffer are amazing, but when i brought them home and opened them the left sub sounded almost blown the first time i played music thru them..

These things have the most amazing sound quality I have ever heard. They are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my ears. The sound is crystal clear and amazing. You can CONTROL how much bass you want to listen to. For a rap song, crank it up.For a rock song, tone it down. Beats by Dre doesn't have this option and are overrated. These skullcrushers can fold and wrap up and put into the soft case they come with. I would definitely recommend buying these works of art.

These are very awesome headphones i bought the snoop dog edition a long time ago and they are still sounding great and they have a realy big BOOM !! i freaked out a week after using them cause the bass stoped working only to realize after i calmed down the battery was drained and threw a Energizer Ultimate Lithium in and they last forever and it doesnt have much weight either anyway i spent extra money to get the Snoop Dog Limited Edition and the paint peeled off all by itself thats the only thing bad about it i use these everyday its not worth it to me to send them back and get a new pair idk what i would do with out these things

These headphones have the best bass for the greatest value. Period. I owned a pair of these for quite a long time and I always told everyone how much I loved them! The bass literally vibrates your cheeks! I listened to them almost every chance I had. I repeatedly got in trouble for trying to listen to them in class. (Worth it!) I only had two complaints with these Headphones and they are: The cord is a little too long which after getting caught on a table corner while running ended up getting pulled out. And they aren't as good looking as say the Aviators or the Mix Masters, although the wonderful sound quality makes up for it. So if you are thinking about buying a pair I STRONGLY suggest it :)

When I tried these out in the store, i was so impressed that i bought them on the spot, three months on, they still work fine, but have quite a few cons. The subwoofer controls are nice, but the in line remote is so heavy that you have to clip it to your pocket (it uses a double A battery) The bass blew me away at first but after a while it gets tiring having to listen to all that vibration. However, if you shut the woofers off, you get absolutely no bass WHAT SO EVER. It has a very hollow sound without the bass. The mid ranges and high notes sound amazing but the woofers don't give you real bass, just vibrations which get annoying after a while. It also depends on what song your listening to. If a song is really bass heavy, then it over powers everything and you hear nothing but vibrations in your ears. On a plus side, they are amazingly comfortable. One problem is that I had to extend them to full for them to fit. Now i don't have a big head, but these headphones are tiny. plus they may look strange on some people because of the way they clamp onto your head. In short, they are cool for about a month then, the gimmick wears off. But if you like rock and rap and want fairly affordable comfortable headphone, then these are for you. if not, look somewhere else.
