2011 Fix in ear

I have had these headphones as a replacement for Titan earbuds (that stopped working) for several months now. I previously have also owned a pair of inked ear buds and an over the ear set from skullcandy. I loved the over the ear pair. The Titan and inked were not very good and gave out quickly - in a matter of months. The titan metal ear piece also dug into your ear and was rather uncomfortable. So far the fixed ear pieces are great. They stay in my ear even when exercising or while detailing my car. I read one review stating they are comfortable to sleep in, and found it hard to believe, but they are. The cord seems pretty durable and the Y-junction point is reinforced well. Where the cord joins the ear pieces and plug are reinforced well also. I have the biggest problem with headphone cords wearing out at the plug junction but I am hopeful for these. The sound quality is pretty good and I feel I can hear as good as earbuds but with out the discomfort of shoving something into my ear canal. They are slightly large, but after getting used to them I found them comfortable, they have a nice thick rubber ring around the ear piece that helps. I read other reviews complaining about the hook shape and the length of the cord. I felt the hook comment was valid - while it helps keep them in ear you have to be careful with them when they are not in ear because they will hook on to things and if you are not careful you could rip the ear piece off, however by just being aware of this I have been fine and don't think it is a problem. I think the cord length is fine, great for use at a personal computer, especially a desktop where you might need extra length. It is a little long for personal use like with an ipod, but I just tuck the extra in my pocket or wrap it around or something, and have not found this inconvenient. I would rather a cord be long than too short. These have the in line command controler for an ipod or smart phone - this means they are a three connection jack instead of a two. Skullcandy sends an adapter with them which is awesome. However I did have an aux. extension cord that even with the adaptor all I got was distorted garble, but they have worked with everything else. Overall I am pleased with these and would recommend them, I think they should be priced a little lower, but with the warranty and the improved warranty fulfillment system at sukllcandy I guess the price sits alright with me.

These guys have amazing sound for this price. BUY THESE. They hurt after awhile tho. They are pretty big.

I was debating getting the "fix ear buds" or the "in ear buds". i got these instead because of the price and I'm not disappointed. The sound is great and all the features work well. They stay in your ear, even while running (i ran a mile with them, never fell out). The bass is pretty good too. Not too comfortable after a while.

BOTTOM LINE YES, I recommend this product
