      AMAZING but beware

      March 30th, 2014

      by Collin

The quality, sound, and durability of these headphones is amazing. The only slightly bad part about these is the actual Camo on the headphones is lighter and a little bit different than the picture. At first I was disappointed by these but i have grown to like it more. PS. If the rattling and vibration gives you a headache like it did me at first, you can turn it all the way down with the slider, or take the battery out. Yes they do work without battery, but the sensation 55 driver won't work.

Best Pair Of Headphones I've Ever Owned!

      March 26th, 2014

      by Darren

I'm not an audiophile or anything but I've owned quite a few pairs of headphones (most being Skullcandy) and I was blown away by the sound quality and bass of these headphones! I've owned a few pairs of Hesh that kept breaking after replacing them under warranty, but these seem much more durable than those. I also have a pair of Skullcrushers that are stashed away because they don't sound too great when listening to rock music (which is what I mostly listen to), however the Crushers sound amazing with any genre of music and I've never owned better headphones!

I think a bass head should get these

      March 19th, 2014

      by Jon Garcia

They are very fun to listen to. They are by no means audiophile headphones, but they provide a good, bassy listening experience. The vibration feature works great, especially in the 40-60 hz range. One downside is that if the bass on a certain song is too exaggerated, the headphones will rattle as if something is loose inside them. Maybe that's just my pair, I'm not sure. Just be careful I'd say. Also, the battery is insanely difficult to put in and take out, but nothing too difficult. Seriously, bass heads, get these.

      March 19th, 2014

      by Chad

The sound is good, clear but not crystal clear, also, the bass is indeed a good addition to the headphones, however, only on songs that are specifically made to sound with bass, like dance or dubstep, etc etc but for any other genre like rock or ambiental or something like that is not a convenient pair of headsets to own, cannot compare these with my PS3 Pulse Headsets, however, they are very very decent to buy and to have around...

These headphones are amazing in almost every aspect except for the fact that these are not built for a really active person, if you move a lot after awhile the ear cups may come loose and produce a rattle sound when Bass is present. These do require a little bit more care than other high priced Headphones but they aren't completely fragile. And they aren't the absolute most comfortable, but still pretty good.

      Amazing Crushers

      February 26th, 2014

      by Corbin Peyton

These Crushers are simply amazing. I purchased the Crusher Realtree and was not disappointed. The quality is slightly better than the Hesh 2 simply because of the deeper bass you can feel, although the Hesh 2 has a greater balanced sound quality. The Crushers claim to fame isn't a lie. These headphones will rattle your head and give your ears a massage. They are very comfortable with memory foam cups wrapped in leather. The sound quality with the bass turned all of the way up was good, but not as clear as I hoped. I believe the sweet spot is around half way with the Sensation 55 turned on. The REX 40 does its job and creates great full sound that resemble the Hesh 2. The style is very outgoing and I like that about them, unlike Beats that like to play it safe. I have Hesh 2's, Crushers, and can't wait to add Aviators to my collection. Great job again Skullcandy.

I just got these headphones today, and they are just plain amazing. (you can tell from the title). The first thing i did was try them without the battery. The bass was good, similar to my Hesh 2. Then, I popped in the battery, and I was blown away. The bass wasn't a muddy type of bass, like some people say, it just added to the experience. I'm very satisfied with these. Just one small thing though, it may take a minute or so to find a good comfort spot for you, but afterwards, its very very comfortable. You should invest in these, they are amazing.

I tried these headphones out at target a couple months ago, and when I put them on, It was incredible. They automaticly went to the number 1 gift on my wishlist for christmas, and now here I am with them on my desk. They're the best especially for games because you can hear the explosions and shots with surround sound and you can feel the vibrations. The only one thing is that they have a ton of sound leakage. Other than that they are the best pair of headphones I've had. Message To Skullcandy - If you could fix the sound leakage, it would make these headphones completely perfect.

Turn on the bass drivers, and you really will feel the bass. It's ridiculous. The main drivers' bass is weak, but the overall sound quality is crisp and clean. The thrill when you first power them up wears off after using the bass drivers for a while, creating the illusion that the battery is running dead. Plus, it's hard to find any color other than black in stores (mostly because the black plastic feels cheap). Don't take these for granted though, they are some of the best headphones out there. Don't hesitate to buy!

      Great for movies and games!

      January 16th, 2014

      by Ryan

So I got these headphones for a little extra money when I warrantied an old over-the-ears set. The sound quality overall is okay... I think I prefer the mid and high levels from my 50/50s (which I love). I am not sold on the bass for music. It can be very overwhelming at full strength, but with the adjustment it can be turned down to a good level. It just takes some tinkering. However, I have watched a couple movies with them and it has been amazing. I live in a duplex and my neighbor is often bothered by my subwoofer, but these give a fairly similar experience and I'm sure they would work the same for gaming. Another plus is the removable cord. I will probably buy an extra aux cord online seeing as this one is one is only about 6ft, but another plus is that I can use the cord that came with it in my car so that I can change songs without looking at my iPod. I doubt the mic will pick up my voice well enough to use as hands free in the car, but we'll see. Overall, it's a fun purchase with decent sound and cinema-like bass. If you are looking for a good full sound on a budget, I would recommend looking at some of the in-ear options, since I can only imagine the other over-the-ear phones are similar to these, except without the bass. Now excuse me while I go watch Cloverfield at excessively high volumes.

The skullcandy crushers are truly an impressive pair of headphones. The bass is absolutely astounding and they aren't lying when they say bass you can feel. However, the treble can be a little flat at points but it really isnt an issue and midrange is great. The sound quality is fantastic and everything is crisp. Overall, i would recommend buying a pair.

These headphones I've EVER owned. They have really nice sound quality, bass sounds really great with the rumble and the highs, mids, etc. are nice, crisp, and clear. They are also REALLY comfortable, I don't use them just for music, I game a lot and wear them for at least 4+ hours and once I take them off, my head is fine. No headaches or whatever, only warm ears haha. I also love that the amp turns off when unplugged to save battery. Easy to take off and put on cup for the battery compartment, Battery lasts a long time, and I like that you can unplug the wire from the headphone cup, and fold them for space. I absolutely love that you can adjust the bass, too. In conclusion, I love these headphones. Best pair I've owned so far.

These headphones have a really good sound (especially the bass, even without the bass sensation) and almost seem unbreakable, so nothing's wrong with the quality. They're pretty comfortable and they're not heavy, but if I leave them on for 2+ hours, I start to really feel them. Nothing major though.

These headphones are killer. They have great quality across the spectrum and they look amazing. I would only make it a little more comfortable, I wear them for hours at a time and it hurts afterwards. Also, even with a battery that's a day old, There is no response from the slider, it's either on or off. Overall, a 9.5/10 because if you're focused on the quality of the sound it's worth twice the cost, there's just a few small things I mentioned earlier.

They deliver great audio quality while delivering the punch of the beat that you allways want to hear in your normal pair of headphones or you only hear with you home theater or DJ speakers set up. Just make a test in a Pro Rec Studio and with Dolby Digital HD Sound test and a Dj friend test them. So dont think 2 times to buy a pair of this bad boys.

Super Bass, Supreme Sound is good as well. All is fine but in the next generation of crusher the sound should be louder and the outside sounds should be exclude better ! If I turn the bass-controler on "half" the subwoofer-bass is complete off and only if I turn the subwoofer-bass-controll on "full" the bass works. So I wish i could listen to my music with half of the subwoofer-bass :D ! Please Skullcandy, tell me who this can happen ! The last thing I have to say is that the rotating hinge is a bit cheapy and even not made well :( That`s my review, thanks for reading !

      Favorite headphones, still flawed though.

      October 22nd, 2013

      by Alex

Although I like these headphones more than any other pair I've owned or tried out (including Beats Studios) I can't help but notice a few laws. After reading a lot of reviews, I'm wondering if it might just be that my pair is defective, but let me point them out anyway. First of all, the subwoofers are not nearly as responsive as they could be. In order for them to even turn on (at full bass boost) I have to turn my volume up almost to the max on any Apple device, and on other devices dangerously close to highest volume my ears can take. Also, once the bass does kick in, I've noticed that certain tones do not do as well as others, and anything below about 30hz is almost silent. To see what I mean, listen to Bassnectar- Upside Down with a normal pair of headphones and then again with the Crushers. You should be able to tell within the first 20 seconds. Also, I have noticed that when wearing them for an extended period of time (3+ hours) they seem to press down on the top of the head. When left unattended, this can become extremely uncomfortable and even painful if left for too long. I have tried adjusting the cups but to no avail. I would like to point out, however, that these are still by far my favorite pair of headphones as the overall sound quality is much better than that of many other top-of-the-line headphones. Compared to Beats Studios (which would be nice if not for the screeching highs) these definitely come on top.

      Honestly Speaking

      October 21st, 2013

      by Raqeeb Ali

Starting from the outside, these headphones are striking, with bright and solid color and a very streamline design. To talk about the sound, striking is an understatement. The bass is pledged to shake anything it comes across. The sound quality is great, but it is overshadowed by the vibrating sensation. As for the Negatives, there are a few. The bass slider is a horrible mislead. when it is set to max, it vibrates harshly; when it is set to 0, there is absolutely no bass at all. So, without the batteries, these headphones have ABSOLUTELY NO BASS AT ALL. as far as the slider goes, there are no mid-levels for the base, its either harshly felt when set to max, or not felt at all when set any lower. Another negative is the flimsy headband, which does not fit to accompany this standard of sound quality. The final thought is on the travel bag, which is cheap to say the least. The drawstring bag will merely keep the headphone from dust, and nothing else. A semi-soft shell case should have been included.

      October 19th, 2013

The only thing that bothers me is that the "smart" circuit seems to be flawed. When I listen to some songs with the bass slider all the way to max, the bass has a tendency to switch off during certain parts of songs and it's annoying because I can hear it switching back and forth, even on new batteries. I do hope Skullcandy implements a on/off switch in the future because the bass seems to do it's own thing without one. Other then that, nice headphones!

when I first put the headphones on, I felt the bass, but everything else seemed missing. unfortunately, this is often the case with skullcandy products. the best thing to do is change the equalizer settings. I use an Ipod nano, and find the r&b setting to be the best for metal and any rock. Electronic is great for most techno, electronic and rap songs. Jazz is a good one for most other genres.

Since I fly a LOT, I thought it would be nice to have a decent set of headphones. I did my research and decided on the Crusher. While the fit and comfort is superb, the bass feature is lacking. The slider control seems to work when it wants to and I often have to max it out, then reduce it slowly to where I actually want it. Speaking of the slider, it just feels cheap and has a rough action - hardly what I expected from a "premium" product. It also seems like the bass "boost" is ineffective below 30-40% total volume. Next time, I will be sure to do more research.

You can really feel the bass. It's perfect if you listen to hip-hop, r&b and also dubstep. Another advantage is that you can replace the cable that connect the headset to your device, also is very comfortable. You can use the mic of the headset so you don't need to take it off when someone is calling you. When the battery is empty you will have to replace it, so you will need a rechargable battery if you don't want to spend a lot of money. If you don't want to spend a lot of money for a headset but want a good one that competes with top brands i will definitely recommend this one but if you don't listen music that has a lot of bass i don't recommend this. Totally worth it if you like hip-hop and r&b, you won't regret it!

Now these are over priced mediocre headphones that masquerade like top headphones. They are not.. I will say the Bass feature is cool but it feels like that was the only feature they emphasized on and on top of that the bass feels like it tried too much... almost like they were catering to one demographic... these are actually better for movies so save your money and get soul beats or dre beats or even a bose set... that is if you appreciate quality if not.... get these they're good for swag

I purchased these after my last pair of buds finally gave out. I had the previous version of these a few years ago and I really liked them so I decided to give these a shot. I like bass and these have PLENTY of it. A little too much. They isolate the bass so much that the mids and highs seem cloudy. If you listen to majority hip-hop/rap then you should thoroughly enjoy these headphones, but they aren't good for any other type of music. They also seem a little tight on the tops of your ears after only a short period of wear.

When they say "bass you can feel" they mean it! Sound quality is amazing and is the same as beats if not better. In bass, it is far better than beats. I bought these head phones to replace my Skullcrushers. For the Crushers, they advertise these as wicked good bass, which they do have. But I can see why that's only what they focus on. They are good head phones but they don't form to my head as well as the Skullcrushers. The actual sound quality, even with Beats audio on my phone, still isn't that amazing. Would I tell someone to buy these instead of something else, no. But I wouldn't dis the Crushers either. They are nice but I just expected more.

      Excellent Value, I'm Lovin' Them!

      August 1st, 2013

      by William Cooper

I have had 50/50's, Titan's, Fix's, and now these Crushers! I sent my Titan's in because one side stopped working, and SkullCandy sent me a coupon after a week (Pretty fast warranty and excellent service!) for $40, so as I was looking through all the headphones, and with my sisters birthday coming up I decided to order her a pair of Hesh 2 Julius Monkey headphones (And she loves them!), so I went back to looking for myself, and came across the Crushers, at first I didn't want to spend that much (I'm a budget shopper so I always want the best deal and bang for the buck!) so I briefly looked at them and returned to looking at other pairs of headphones. Well I couldn't let my sister get a better pair, and with a upcoming trip I HAD to make a choice quick! So i bought a white pair of Crusher's with 2 day shipping. At first I couldn't believe I bought a pair of headphones for $100 not on sale, then I said "If I can enjoy music a little more because of these headphones then it'll be worth it!". When I received the headphones I thought I got the wrong pair, the box is so small! I was impressed with how well they packaged them, as far as condensed goes, on the other hand I wish it would have been a little nicer (Recycled cardboard holds the manuals...) and more protection. The main box is very nice and smooth and opens up horizontally via a magnet with some cool 3D "looking" graphics! The first thing I noticed on the Crusher's was how soft and plush the ear cups are! They are very comfortable! Also I was surprised on the little amount of padding that was given on the inside of the headband, but that doesn't affect the comfort for me. What I did notice was that the headband was very stiff at first, but after about 4 hours of just listening to music and watching some TV shows it loosened up and fits my head much better! The first thing I recommend doing is putting a GOOD BATTERY in it, the one that it comes with is not very good at all, just throw it away and put a Duracell in it (That's what I'm using and I have only put 2 in it, and I'm still on the second one!). I have put probably 72 hours on these headphones, and the only discomfort seams to be on the top of my head after about 3 hours of just listening to music. One feature that I like allot about these is the AUTO ON/OFF, so when music isn't playing they turn off and save your battery life, which for me if a big deal, I always seem to forget to turn things off and always end up draining the battery, which is frustrating! Onto the bass, it's AWESOME! It's pretty amazing, it's like a subwoofer in your ear! It's just plain awesome, it's awesome watching movies, tv shows, music (duh), and everything in between! I listen to hip hop, rap, pop, jazz, rock, Christian Genres, and dubstep. I found the bass amazing on all the songs, and the songs that had little to no bass, were so crisp and clear it was just amazing! Another feature I wish they had was Volume Control... I miss it allot on my other pairs of earbuds/headphones, but I do like that they changed the Play/Pause/Skip Track/Answer/End Call Button to something beefier, also I think it made it easier for me to skip tracks. And the Mic is good too! I was surprised at how much sound it picks up without having to put right up to your face, but I wish you could hear yourself when you talk, because I find that these block out allot of sound outside, even if there is nothing playing through them. All-in-all, I don't think you will find a better pair of headphones in this price range or even a higher price range! The reason I gave it a 4/5 is because of the comfort and also there is always room for improvement, even if we can't see anything! Cheers

I love these headphones and their skull shaking bass. I've had them about a week and a half now. Use them whenever I possibly can (including as I write this review). I previously used the Skullcandy Hesh 2 headphones, but since I got these I just let my little brother use them. My only complaint would be the week and a half these took to arrive even with UPS Second Day Air.

When you get the crushers you want to turn the bass all the way up, but you have to get the slider in the right spot to balance it out. Also the ear pad can be a pain to get in the right spot with a good seal. but overall great headphones.

Huge improvement for Skullcrushers. I listen to a lot of rock and they still work great, not just for dubstep and electronic. Also, it's no longer bouncy, muddy bass that covers everything else like with the Skullcrushers, and no more tinny highs. You can feel your face vibrating with the headphones. They're serious when they say amazing bass that you can feel, and hear. They've got clear mids and highs, and it's all blended together perfectly. They're everything I expected and more.

When I saw Greg Kumparak‘s facial reaction while he demoed Skullcandy’s new Crusher headphones yesterday, I had to go try them myself. When TechCrunch TV director Jon Orlin saw my resulting facial reaction, he decided we needed to get one fresh on camera. 10 minutes later, we had our own Elin Blesener in front of the lens, and her reaction was just what we expected.
