Mic
May 14th, 2013
by Ryan O
I really like these and have always been a skullcandy type of person, and i know you cant make products that fit one person but, i would really like the mic on the right side. i know you can just put the left bud in your right bud when you have the fit ones, you cant do that, if you could, please make the mic on the right wire

Cord and Mic needs work
May 8th, 2013
by Andrew
I had this pair of Skullcandy's for bout a month when they were running good, after that the mic died to where i couldn't change music on the fly when needed, (I go to high school). But when the mic stopped working, i was in study hall trying to change music so then i could get some reading done, well when my mic died, (We can have phones out at this school), the teacher asked "What are you doing?" my reply was changing music. It was different to her because i always used the button, then about a week later the left earbud died do to cord damage. I've upgraded to the smokin', but i would recommend these to a friend for a shot period of time

Epic Bass!!!
May 7th, 2013
by Austen Cottam
These little ear buds have been the best I have ever used. The sound quality is excellent and there's plenty of volume to spare. The only complaint is that the 3.5mm jack isn't very strong and so it wears out after a while, but for the price it's still totally worth it. Thanks Skullcandy!

I purchased a pair of Skullcandy Ink'd back in 2011 to try them out. Boy was I happy with my purchase. I pretty much use them everyday and they are the most dependable, best sounding buds I have bought for the price or any other price. I purchased the Merge buds from Skullcandy, but these are better and cost less. Love them and recommend them.

These earbuds are sick. I got them for christmas and have loved the heck out of them. I use them almost everyday and they still sound fine. The bass is amazing for how small the drivers are but it doesn't interfere with the vocals or highs. Love them!

Amazing if you take care of them!
May 3rd, 2013

I had my first pair of these, and they broke because I didn't take care of them. Same thing happened with the second pair, because I felt like they were indestructible. I'm on my third and final pair and have learned my lesson; if you take care of them, THEY WILL WORK GREAT! The bass never interferes with the treble or the mids, and the highs are never crackly or distorted. I absolutely love these. If you want even more use out of them, get the ones with the Mic1 on them. The microphone works pretty well for Skype, video chat, and even my sister when she uses FaceTime on her iPod, but can get a little crackly if you are too loud. Overall, this product is way underpriced for the quality you get out of them.

I've been using "smokin' buds" for about 3 yrs now , & I needed a spare set . I went & ordered them only to realize that I ordered "ink'd 2 buds" by mistake . I couldn't be happier .... Love these new buds !! Better fit , better comfort , better cable , & most of all better sound . Plus they were on sale !! I'm noticing little things in my playlist songs that I wasn't picking up before . Bottom line , I like what I'm now hearing . This is one mistake I'm glad I made .

Good earphones but break easily
March 21st, 2013
by Demelza
Bought these earphones in october 2012 and they came with a one year warrenty which was lucky as within a month the left earphone kept losing sound, so i brought them back got a new a new pair and 3 months later the sound is gone from the left earphone. Am now on my third pair of earphones and hoping they will last longer than the other two. I also miss the volume buttons that my original apple earphones had, but this is a minor drawback. The good side, I did find them comfy and the sound very good, not that I can say much as these were the most expensive earphones I had ever bought. If they lasted longer I would definatly buy again.

I Like Them
March 19th, 2013
by LC
I got these headphones for Christmas and liked them right away. They have good sound quality and with the smaller earpiece rubber, fit very well. The only problem were that the wires are long and when I run with them they tend to get tangled and bounce out of my ears. Also, just recently the left earbud is losing sound. It will only work if I hold the jack at a certain angle or squeeze it, which is annoying and obviously impractical for a lot of functions. I'm debating whether I should just buy new ones already or not. I've only been using it for a few months, so that's unfortunate.

I just got these and I love them. They come with 2 pairs of ear gels, one small and one big. The jack is straight rather than a 90-degree angle (doesn't bother but good to know). The wire is actually a fettuccine wire rather than a normal round one which I heard helps to reduce tangling. They do leak just a tad bit (only if you're the type of person who plays you're music loud), but if you're on a bus, the noise of the bus should cover it. Usually, I'm a headphone guy because after past experiences with earbuds I wanted better quality. But, since I do a lot of running and can't run with headphones, I got these. The sound is great overall and the bass is impressive. To summarize this, I recommend these.

These were my favorite headphones for the longest time! i have had them for 4 months. They were great until the past week, one of the rubber ear pieces fell off, i had to put the larger rubber pieces on and they dont fit in my ear to well and they keep falling out. Also today i was getting off the bus and they just stopped working, they didnt get caught on anything they just stopped. The wire was coming out of where they headphones split which i presume is what caused them to stop working, i am very disappointed in these headphones. i would like to get a new pair but i dont know if should because i want headphones that are going to last.

I bought these at my school's bookstore after my other earphones broke. These were more expensive than my other earphones, but I noticed that these earphones lacked bass. Also a problem I keep having is the pause button is a little too sensitive. Also, I like to wrap my earphones on my ipod and put it in my pocket, but I can't do that with these because my music keeps turning on by itself. Also the L and R are really hard to see. I didn't notice them until a few weeks later. They are pretty comfortable though.

first and foremost these have great sound for the price. HOWEVER, I see 2 Major Problems as follows. 1) track control button is far too easily activated accidentally. this means that your music device (in my case iPhone) will frequently start playing music in your pocket without you knowing, which drains the battery of your device unknowingly. not cool 2) there is no volume control feature. please could you add one? at this price level, you should be able to change the volume as well as start/stop/change the tracks and it is a pain to have to constantly take your device out of your pocket to do this. I'm a big fan of skullcandy and it is a shame for an otherwise great product to be let down by a couple of basic features that would be very easy to fix. Please fix them and you'll have a loyal customer. Thank you!!

I got these ear buds about 3 months ago, and I love the feel and the sound quality. But just this weekend I was using them and they worked fine, but the next day I plugged them in and I noticed that the one earbud (left) had no sound coming out anymore, but the other earbud (right) was working fine. I basically am questioning the quality and how long they last.

Great sound quality, but....
January 7th, 2013

I bought these earbuds about four months ago, and they held up well. They have great sound quality for the price. I have a few complaints too though. First, the silicone pieces come off very easily, they come off in my pocket and when I'm cleaning off earwax. I lost one of the silicone pieces on the school bus and was never able to find it again and I can't use them anymore. Second, the control button is too easy to press. When I am trying to roll the cord around my iPod, the button is pressed and music starts playing without me noticing, thus wasting the battery on my iPod. Now I have to unplug the earbuds from my iPod before wrapping them around my iPod. Where could I get replacement eartips?

I just got these ear buds yesterday. Before I got these I had the original Ink'd and the Smokin Buds, and both were great. Then I saw these at my local best buy. I remembered how much I liked the first Ink'd, so I got these. I was gonna pass these down because of no carrying case, but I still chose these. The flat cable is a great feature, and the microphone is great too. The most important thing, however, is the sound quality. All I can say is, MIND BLOWING! Bass is great, and no static whatsoever. These earbuds stay in my ear very well and are nice and comfortable, so now I don't need to invest in Chops. However, sometimes my ear gets sore from them and I need to take them out. All and all, great product skullcandy.

I'm rough on most other headphones but theses ink'd 2 can take the beating. I have heard beats and compared them to Skullcandythe do not make the cut for me . I got these after I lost my inkd 1. I don't know what people are complaining about as far as the bass goes. It sounds strong to me. A few minor annoyances though, these only come with 2 rubber ear pieces instead of the 3 that the original inkd had. They also don't have a sliding collar to keep the ear buds together when you're wrapping the cord up. But other than that, I like them a lot. They sound great and I'm very happy with them.

Ink'd sound better than Ink'd 2
December 1st, 2012
by Richard
So that is my initial impression, and it's disappointing to say the least. I fell in love with the Ink'd line and figured the Ink'd 2 would have been improved. As far as design, I think it is improved.. but where did my bass go? I have had about 5 pairs of Ink'd, and now 1 pair of Ink'd 2, and I am swapping the Ink'd and Ink'd 2 back and forth.. and it's kinda sad that I still like the Ink'd more than the Ink 2. My reasoning is, the Ink'd are louder with deeper louder bass (what I pride most). So Skull Candy, where did my bass go with the Ink'd 2? I'm going to continue to test with other audio sources.. but it's not looking good so far. That being said, maybe there is a break in period that I am not aware of and the Ink'd 2 will get better in time? Just in case, I stocked up on 2011 Ink'd models through your Ebay store.

These headphones are pretty good but the only difference between these and the older ink'd is that these look better and they have a little better sound quality. I also noticed that there is a difference between the ink'd 2 with no mic and the ones with a mic, the difference i noticed is that the ones without the mic have way better bass but a little less sound quality, the ones with the mic have less bass but they have a little better sound quality. basically when i got these i was expecting a little better sound quality than what i got. Over all these headphones are good for the price, they look great and sound just as good.

by Wimpy002
I loved the original Ink'd. The changes made to the Ink'd 2 are no good. Cheap plastic & not nearly as comfortable as the old ones. Every time I touch the cord I get a lot of static. No idea why they changed them so much but it's a far inferior product to the original.

Very good sound quality compared to other similarly priced earbuds, the only issue is that the are very poorly made and will last only 3 months at most before the internal cord breaks and the sound is not functioning in one ear.

Great Earbuds
October 21st, 2012
by Anonymous
These earbuds are great for all kinds of music. I personally like to listen to pop and rap, and they work great for me. I previously had the issue with the regular earbuds without the inserts where they wouldn't stay in my ears, but these stay in my ears and wont come out. I use these for listening to music and I also like to take advantage of having the mike with the buds so that I can also talk on the phone. I also like how they look very good when you wear them, with the very cool flat cord.

Great sound, terrible quality
October 19th, 2012
by Firefox1095
I've bought about 3 pairs of these. Each lasted about 3/4 weeks. The sound quality is amazing. Nice and deep bass, rich treble, and all in all, I've never tried a pair of headphones that sound better than those. Here's the down side though: they are made of terrible material. The headphones are definitely not the most comfortable. They feel like a weight in your ears. The wiring from the inside goes all messed up and the sound goes terrible after about 3 weeks, and the bass screws up after about 2 weeks.

Not that great

I got these because I had the first ink'd and I loved them but I gave them to a friend. I expected these to be better but I was let down. Skullcandy has disappointed me. I have other skullcandy products and I love them but the sound quality is just average with these. There isn't much bass, they fall out easily (I've tried every size), and they're so much worse than the first ones. I'm sorry skullcandy but you've let me down.

Cable Frays Easily
October 4th, 2012
by Nathan
Had the ear buds for about 3 weeks now, nothing was horrible or astonishing besides the fact that they're already broken. I stopped listening to music with them for about 30 minutes, then suddenly the audio turns horrible. After they broke, there's a lot of static, no bass, and a lot quieter. Not good for ignoring your teacher in class if you can barely hear and understand the music. I actually had to learn today. The only way I will buy another Skullcandy product is if they're over-ear headphones, I recommend those much more than the ear-buds.

For Audiophiles - STAY AWAY FROM FLAT CABLE
September 30th, 2012
by Tarek
These new "flat cable" variants are definitely of lower quality relative to the original ink'd. The noise reduction is not as good, treble is higher and generally things become distorted at higher volume. The older ones are much better imo. If you find the old ones, grab those.

Skullcandy is awesome!!

I have owned many of the Ink'd and Smokin' Buds over the past few years. With my first pair being Smokin' Buds I got for $15. I loved them they got broken and I totally forgot about the awesome warranty. So I bought a pair of Ink'd at near the same price, liked them but wish they had the volume switch. Well I ended up breaking them and remembered the warranty this time upgraded to the Smokin' for $15 and also bought a new pair of Ink'd because they were on sale and I figured I'd use them while doing stuff like yard work while using the Smokin' for personal use. Ink'd are very durable I even had a pair go through the wash and still work. I am now also a proud owner of some Hesh 2's as well.

A stellar earbud
September 25th, 2012
by DJKhaos
I had turned in my old ink'd earbuds for a coupon worth of 20.00 i looked around the sight and found these. At first i wasn't expecting much but only bought it becuase of the the flat cable and i liked the black/red colorway. I got more than i expected. The new skullcandy ink'd 2 earbuds pack a punch and have stellar sound quality, thes sound is very bright and although the lows arent as prominent everything still shines through. Overall these BEAT BEATS BY DRE. ~khaos

I purchased 2 pairs of these headphones and so far they've been great. I'm surprised they only cost $20 considering most of skullcandys other headphones cost more. The sound is amazing and they look pretty sick. i'd say they are the coolest looking in ear headphones skull candy has.

The sequel isn't as good as the original

I bought my pair of Ink'd 2.0 because my Ink'd 1.0's wigged out on me, after several years of office use. The right earbud became staticky and useless. Months before my Ink'd 1.0's went out, I had shopped around a lot for a replacement and had bought the Skullcandy Hesh 2.0 for $60 at Best Buy. When I brought them to the office, I spent a long time swapping out the Ink'd and Hesh while my music played. I'd also replay songs from start to finish, trying each headphone. In the end, I found that my Ink'd' 1.0 were superior, so I took the Hesh 2.0 back for refund. Now that I have Ink'd 2.0, I realize that the sound is reminiscient of the Hesh 2.0. What's the difference, you ask? Ink'd 1.0 made me feel as if I was on-stage with the musicians whereas Ink'd 2.0 and Hesh 2.0 make me feel as if I'm in the audience. Ink'd 1.0 had a very crisp sound, making all lyrics as clear as possible, as if I was there with the artist. But with the 2.0's, I feel that sound is bouncing off of walls and it feels far away. I don't know what underlying technology or manufacturing process changed between Ink'd 1.0 and 2.0, but if things go back to the way things were at 1.0, I'll be in line to buy a new pair.

These were definitely worth my money. i havent had a single problem at all so far and i have had them for a good 5 months. i really like that they come with two sets of ear-buds, big and small, and the cord is still in perfect condition even with me carrying them around 24/7 in my backpack or pocket. you have to get used to the fit with the big earpieces, but that wasnt a problem, and they only felt weird for a few days.

two pairs, same problem
September 9th, 2012
by Joey
First, let me preface my criticism by saying that these earbuds are a very good value for the price; they sound reasonably good and are pretty comfortable. However, I have owned two pairs of them in the last year and experienced the same problem both times-- somewhere along the line, one of the two earbuds stops working. I only use mine for walking to class on campus so they never endure any sort of extreme conditions or abuse but that said, I am quite disappointed that two pairs of these have gone bad on me in less than a year.

All Right, I guess
August 27th, 2012
by Brennan Steenhoek
These are some great looking earbuds, but style isn't (or shouldn't) be the best reason to buy headphones. Sound quality should decide which gives you your best bang for your buck. I own the old Ink'd headphones and the sound on those is much better...it seems like they forgot to put any element of bass sound into these new Ink'd 2 buds. I find the old Ink'd buds to be much more comfortable as well. Basically it looks cool, but if I had the option between the old ones and these cool-looking buds, I would go with the old Ink'd buds in a heartbeat.
Awesome Earbuds..
