The Fix's
May 16th, 2013
by Jason
These are one of the few skullcandies i've owned ( and actually used on a daily basis) i bought these headphones in approximately November of 2011 and i used them on a daily basis from november until May 5th (when i had to warranty them). The thing that surprised me is that for a pair of earbuds the sound quality that came along with them was amazing. They fit in the ear nicely (if you try and force them, yea it'll hurt) and it's a good headphone. I used it and it finally had the problem of ungluing so i had to warranty these headphones, and i have a new pair coming my way. I can't wait to get them and go back to the routine of using them. They are a fantastic buy.

I received these headphones as a gift and they are the worst headphones I have ever used. they are designed to stay in your ear but they get hooked on everything but your ear. they are so uncomfortable they give me a headache and earache. thanks to the ridiculous design instead of staying in your ears they constantly fall out and then get hooked on something else which is how I broke one of the ear buds practically in half. my advice don’t buy these headphones because you will regret it

The "Fixed" Fit is Overhyped
April 1st, 2013
by Philip
I really wanted to like these after skullcandy discontinued my favorite earbuds (the Asyms), but there are a few issues. First, the "hooked in" hype that it stays in your ear is just that, hype. It doesn't really hook on much more than other brand headphones do. I'm not saying they pop out easily, but they just don't "fix/hang" in like the packaging and weight hanging ad suggests. I know there are variations in peoples ears, but I've had a lot of people try them on and they don't really hook. Secondly, and more importantly, they are way too big around. Lots of people complain about the size of their device's stock earbuds hurting their ears, which is why they turn to brands like skullcandy to replace their stock buds. But these are a good 2-3 cm larger in diameter than others. I'm a decent sized guy with bigger ears, and they are uncomfortable to wear. Lastly, I only had them for a few months and the casing of one of the speakers came unglued. I was tired of them hurting my ears anyway so I just threw them in a drawer, before I found them again yesterday and decided to write a review. Everyone else's reviews seem like they are happy with them, but they just aren't up to my expectations for a supposedly "innovative design" from skullcandy. I would say I like the in ear version better, but the cable noise is unbearable. Wish they'd bring back the Asyms now that all of mine have cable glitches.

Superior, Non-Intrusive Sound
March 31st, 2013
by Avis Largey
This replaced a similar design by Sony, and I'm pleased that it equaled the Sony's sound quality. In fact, I compare it to the Bose 901 which gives unobtrusive sound, pristine clarity and defined bass even at high volumes. Red has it all -- awesome sound, mic, attractive color and design, perfect in-ear fit with rim grip, and lifetime warranty. Thanks for an outstanding product!

They really never fall out!
March 14th, 2013
by Amber
I bought the Fix Buds because I have tiny ears, so either nothing fits or nothing stays in. These were too big for me, but even though they always felt like they were going to fall out, they never actually did! They were uncomfortable, unfortunately, but that's a common problem for me, so I'll be buying some of the Fix In Ear soon. I would have returned these, but my husband tried them and got hooked, so I gave these to him instead and he absolutely LOVES them. The sound quality is great and they're stylish, too. He takes them to the gym every day and has never had a problem. I also chatted with a SkullCandy representative before buying, and he was very nice and helpful. The free returns policy is great--the customer service here can't be beat! Love this company and this product!

Nice buds. I never liked buds that went into your ear tunnel, and I wanted top use the buds that came with my iPod, but the quality was poor, so I was looking for buds that were like them, but had better sound quality. These were the perfect fit. They're great for when I go skiing. I love them.

The sound for these headphones are great. They're comfortable and a great replacement for generic earbuds. My only problem is that the "hook" design gets caught on everything and i recently snagged them on something and it ripped the speaker off of the earpiece without me even realizing what happened.

Best Earbuds
January 13th, 2013
by John
These are the best earbuds ever!!!!!!!! when i was going through this site i was looking for an ear bud that would fit the ear, have too be comfortable and produce great sound. so I ordered the Skullcandy Fix In ear Version. I got just what i was looking for. The bass on these ear buds are AMAZING. the bass is not over exaggerated or muddy. the treble is very good. the best crisp vocals ever!!! just remember that the ear buds are not interchangeable. the left ear bud is for the left ear and the right ear bud is for the right ear. the case that come with these are great. It is hard and will protect the ear buds well. the only concern about these ear buds is that it is noise cancelling if you buy the Fix- in ear version, which I got. other than that The Skull candy fix are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So bad rating for the Fix, but a five star rating for skullcandy's customer service

I am frustrated to the point where I am ready to toss these. I have never had a headphone fall out of my ears like these. Which are supposing design to not fall out of your ears. I have tried everything every angle, Right left, left right. Nothing works, for those it work for congrats, but it did not work for me. I really tried to like these, wish I had kept the packaging so I could return them.

I decided to try out these earbuds since I needed a new pair anyway and I have some mixed reviews about it. I like how they don't fall out of my ears and they are pretty comfortable, but my only issue is that they don't block out outside noise at all, so I have to turn my volume up just to hear my music. But other than that small issue, these earbuds seem pretty good.

Today I bought my second pair of in ear headphones from skullcandy. My first pair was a pair of Ink'd and the Fix was my second pair. I really love these headphones. The bass is great and the comfort is outstanding. The headphones live up to their value and they really do not fall out of your ear. The highs are not as crisp as they could be but I can live with that. Anyway, thank you Skullcandy for making a great pair of headphones.

so far so good

Just got these in the mail today and unboxed the item and put both headphones in my ear and connected my Ipod to it. I wasn't even playing any music I just wanted to see if it would stay in and I was jumping up and down and running in place and shaking my head and they stayed in which was very surprising. I wanted an upgrade from my original Ipod headphones and so far these are great because they stay in my ears. While running on the treadmill my Ipod headphones will fall out a couple times an hr so we'll see how they hold up for an entire cardio session in the gym. It's hard for me to find headphones too my ears are weird other skullcandy in canal ear buds don't work for me. I could see how these buds might not fit other people but everyone is different you just gotta try them out before you know like I took a chance and got what I was looking for. So far I have noticed a little bit of a sound difference it's more crisp than the Ipod headphones and they're a lot louder but I only had them on for about 15 mins. As for the mic3 I haven't gotten a chance to make or receive a call on it yet but I bought these for my Ipod and the gym not as a handsfree substitute. If this lasts for at least a year then I will be very satisfied. Still has a lot of proving itself for me to be satisfied but it's basically half way there since they stay in my ears pretty well and that's hard enough to find. I'm more concerned about that than sound. So far so good we'll see how long it lasts.

Not what I was expecting

While shopping for a new pair of buds, I saw a pair of these on sale for $35 and at the time I had a wallet with money to burn so I figured why not. Especially given how my TiTANs kept flying out of my ears on the rails at the skate park. I used a number of devices to get some mixed results, including my cellphone (Samsung Mythic), my Sony PSP, my iPod Touch, and my Gateway Netbook. For starters, on any of the devices, the sound leaks like crazy. I mean, yeah that's great if you're one of those people who likes to be aware of what's going on around you, but when I'm blasting fast paced screamo while shredding a bassline over the halfpipe, I don't wanna hear any wannabes or for them to hear my messed up taste in music. I gotta say, overall, they didn't stay in my ears much better than my TiTANs did, so if that's why you're getting them, I'd recommend checking out the in-ear ones. These don't hold up extremely well to high tension either, but they're more resistant to humidity and water than any pair I have, so if you go jetskiing or skiing maybe you should look at em. As for quality, I got really mixed results. On my iPod, cellphone, and PSP the quality was pretty good. I could hear the bass, solid like the rock I play on full volume. The drums tear things up so the drivers are decent. The treble stands a little out but the bass outlines it well. But on my laptop, it sounded just so terrible. It sounded so bad my dog acted like I had the plague. Any song sounded like pop from the 1700's that somehow got recorded on the world's first microphone. I can't tell you how bad they are you plan on using a laptop like mine. Overall, I'd still say the quality was pretty good on mobile. Aside, from the music leaking anyway. But the fact that they don't really stay in my ears kind of defeats the purpose of them, so thumbs down guys.

These ear buds sound great, have strong base, there comfortable, and stay in your ear great... I use these headphones for everything because they have great sound and allow me to be aware and hear what’s around me...The only issue I had was that the rubber front had separated from the plastic housing... so the buds pretty much came apart... but a little super glue and they were good as new.

These headphones are great. I have used these headphones for about a week now and I am loving them. The bass is better than a lot of other headphones and the sound quality is great. I liked how they gave a little pouch to keep the headphones in when your not using them. These headphones are also great for using in school because you can hear your teacher and still listen to music at the same time. Now if you want to cancel out noise, then you should get the in ear buds. Also buy the Fix buds from skull candy, I have seen fakes at other places.

I like them the sound is good, I also cant use them with my phone. But they work regardless. If I had to make some suggestions, I would say make the cord a little shorter, move the little controller to the point where the cords come together, and put a little slider thing that brings the head phones together on these and you would be set. Other than that perfect, does what it says.

Although the buttons don't work with my phone (they do work with my friend's phone), I bought them because of the idea of not having them fall out of my ears. They pretty much do the job of hanging on up there and they sound pretty good, too. I don't normally like buds because they don't like my ears, but these really do the job. The sound quality is pretty good (especially for buds). And although people are always looking for noise cancellation, I like that they DON'T cancel much sound because that way I can listen to my music in class and when my professor bugs me about not paying attention, I can give her the answer and tell her off. I bought the red and black ones and they match my phone, phone case, and shoes perfectly so when I whip it out to change music, it tends to turn some heads. The are only two very slight problems I've had with them : 1) the cord is a little long for my taste. I can keep them in a cargo pocket of my shorts/pants and still be dangling some cord. 2) They're shaped like hooks. And like hooks, they tend to grab on to things if I am going mono for a minute or if I'm unraveling them to put them on. I've had some close calls with ripping a headphone off the cord.
