it sounds good at full volume but it can get a little distorted depending on the kind of music you listen to but it doesn't happen that much. For the most part the sound is very clear and the bass is great.

I dint know about an iPhone 5 model, but as of now, your iPhone 5 won't fit the dock, but you can still attatch it by the aux cord or get a 30 pin to lightning plug adapter from apple or amazon.

Yes and no. The iPhone/iPod port on it is for the regular iPhones and iPods. And seeing as how they (Apple) changed the charger port in the 5 it won't work via iPod port. The good news is that can work with a 3.5 ml aux jack port in the back. So yes, it can work. No, it can't charge or use track navigation

There aren't many iPad docks to begin with. You can still get this and play music through the included cord that goes into the bak and then charge your iPad from a wall charger. I don't have this yet, but I probably will, and I do exactly what I just explained with my iPod because the charging dock on my current speakers is broken.

Pretty darn long. It sits on my headboard and the outlet is at the foot of my bed. It reaches around with lots of slack. Gotta be 7-8 feet or so.

This might sound dumb, but is this VANDAL even comparable to the DR DRE BEATBOX ??

I know the beat box is a bit spendy, but definately YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, and I have not found ANYTHING (not even bose) to compare with the Dr Dre BEATBOX!! If you have listened to this thing, you know what I'm talking about...it blows away my huge off the floor Sony Stand up stereo system out of the water. And for the size has bass which shakes my HOUSE...YES HOUSE!! I havent heard the Vandal...but if its even comparable to the beat box, then that is good for me...its definately a good buy, but I doubt it is comparable for those who have HONESTLY listened to both. That beat box is like a magic trick before my eyes!!

If you want to use the dock u can get a iPod extension cable on eBay for bout $7. Make sure it's one compatible with audio/video transfer. It's bout as long as the stock charging cable. U can also use this if u wanna still do stuff on an iPhone/ iPod touch while it's docked.
