Bass! OMG the bass. 50/50s don't rattle as much on the lows. way better. Cleaner Sound Quality too. The titan's cable is a little cheaper looking/feeling also.

First off, clean your ears with Q-tips. And then after, I do this once a week, remove the silicone tips and pass a Q-tip through. Then with the other side of the Q-tip, clean the speaker.

yes they can be safely cleaned. simply remove the rubber ear bud tip and soak it in a small cup of rubbing alcohol(nail polish remover) for a minute or two and then clean it off with a wet wash cloth. then take the same rubbing alcohol and drizzle some on a cotton ball. then rub the alcohol where needed and wash off with the same wet rag. then reattach the rubber tip to the bud and do the same for the other ear bud. ( no this will not and cannot kill your headphones, as long as your not like drenching it in a pool of nail polish)

You might wanna get them checked. However, see if you have any friends that have the same ones you do first. Then compare to see if you get the same results. If you do you'll know its the buds. They have a tendency to rattle, hissing is a completely different prob. Worst case, trade them in SC should be able to get you a good deal on a new pair or even a different model. I suggest the 50/50s

You probably got a defective pair. I own a pair of Titans and I don't get this problem at all.
Whatever device your using to listen to music, I'd try making sure it's not the device's fault. Use another earbud and see if it's your device first :P
If you find your device isn't the problem, Skullcandy offers a lifetime warranty for replacements.

Normally to tell which is left and which is right, the buds will have R or L sort of engraved on the bud. If not, the other way to know is to have the skull on the rubber face straight ahead (the exact same way you look with your eyes).

I had the same problem with my titans, but mine were 3 years old, so i pitched them and bought smokin buds. if you have a volume slider on the cord, try playing with that. good luck!! if not go for warranty claim

Where is the bass on the Titans?

I've had the Titan earbuds for more than a month now and I still hear virtually no bass. I've had to adjust my MP3 player's EQ just to get a little bass or bottom end to come out of them. They were highly recommended, but I have no idea why. There is no directions on how to wear the earbuds. I'm new to earbuds, so this may be why I'm not getting any kind of bass out of them. I usually wear headphones and have no problems with the bass in those when connected to the same MP3 player. I read that they may need to break in, really? Never heard of such a thing. What is the proper way to wear these earbuds to get the bass out of them?

Thank you for all the responses, I figured out how to where the earbuds, and I do get bass from them when positioned correctly in my ears. One of my ear canels is sore from a bluetooth device I used to where, so I can't get the gel end in position to get the bass. Its pretty cool how these ear buds use your ear to get the bass. The responses have helped me to correct the problem I was having.

honestly, i have no clue. i actually have TOO much bass in mine. songs like Some Chords by Deadmau5 might verify the bass. the song is ALL bass and if that doesn't work, it may be #1 your mp3 player #2 the headphones (in which case, i would suggest going back and returning them for another pair). also make sure you are wearing the proper ear bud size. if it is too small the bass may be affected. hope this helps

you should probably use your buds life time warranty and get some new ones because i have had 2 pairs of titans and they both have large amounts of bass. its possible that your drivers are not soldered correctly. skullcandy is pretty cool with it they will take them and give you your money back.

it may have a problem with the earbuds itself. the warranty might cover it just try to contact skull candy. if they cover it you can send it back for a new one. but first try to tweak the eq because i got the titans 2 days ago and it has killer bass. it doesn't need break in.

Alright that other answer didn't help much so I'll try answering...
Since you're not too familiar with earbud style headphones, I'll try to explain how to get them in your ears correctly....
1) Make sure the gel earpiece is all the way over the end of the headphone. It should fit over real snug and not fall off.
2) Make sure there are no rips or little holes in the gel tips; this will come in handy with the next step too.
3) After you made sure that steps one and two are done, push the earbuds in your ear canals until there is virtually no sound coming in from the outside. This might be weird at first but it's the correct way to have these types of buds in your ears.
After that you're still not getting any bass (which, when I had mine, the bass/volume would almost be too loud sometimes) there's probably a defect in your EQ or headphones. I recommend the Poweramp for Android phones, you can customize the EQ and tone/bass settings xD

Answer:

Bass! OMG the bass. 50/50s don't rattle as much on the lows. way better. Cleaner Sound Quality too. The titan's cable is a little cheaper looking/feeling also.

Answer:

First off, clean your ears with Q-tips. And then after, I do this once a week, remove the silicone tips and pass a Q-tip through. Then with the other side of the Q-tip, clean the speaker.

It kinda sticks a little more on the high gain kinda range. Not bad if your into that kinda thing. I personally prefer the lower bassy range of the 50/50s myself.

They come with a stiff cloth pouch that is more than adequate to protect the earbuds. I have one, my self and they protect my titans just fine.

It probably does not or Skullcandy would be sure to advertise it on the feature & specs page. It has phone and track change capabilities though. I think Mic2 or Mic3 would have that.
