How do I get the iPod nano adapter out of the dock

I put the adapter on now it won't come out, it's the only adapter that doesn't have a backing to it so it sits flush with the dock

It has an aux cable which you could hook up to a laptop. It is a bit short, so I'd recommend getting a longer cable
