    DIY Sound Cancelling Headphones

    March 26th, 2013

    by Wolf

Being poor, I still love good music. I wanted a set of Soundproof headphones but could not afford $200+ a set. I took a Homebrew kit and a pair of "Shooter's Ears" and made my own. They aren't pretty, but they work well and sound fantastic. As usual, the sound clarity is amazing! My only complaint is that the cable from the speakers to the jack could be longer.

theese are great for the snow addict (sports like skiing, snowboarding) they go right in my snowboarding helmets and any helmet made in the 2000's should have hollow ear flaps where the speakers can go WARNING: DO NOT BUY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A HELMET. OTHERWISE, YOUR NOT BUYING ANYTHING USEFUL

    Awesome for Snowboarding

    May 30th, 2012

    by Jeremy

I've tried so many different speaker devices to listen to music while snowboarding and nothing seemed to work. Ear buds and headphones are annoying and can fall out when you're hitting the slopes hard. This is the perfect solution. I bought these speakers and cut two slits in my beanie to put them in. I was amazed at the quality of them and the wires don't get tangled or unplug at all. It's a simple and inexpensive product. I just wish I had come across it before I wasted money on similar products.

    Motorcycle Helmets...

    April 24th, 2012

    by MacSnapon - TotemSoup.com Podcast

I have a motorcycle helmet that has wraparound ear wind protection, and the best part is... my Skullcandy headphones fit and the sound is awesome! And they don't block out traffic noise either, meaning that they are safe to wear out on the street. What an excellent idea, you guys had, with the Homebrew Kits.

As a DJ in Colorado, it gets cold here. I don't want to take off my hat so I tuck these into my SKDY hat and all is good. These little babies have awesome bass and everything else. Super great for the price, but can get a little uncomfortable after a while.

The idea of these is great all around, rather than having earbuds as the adjuster for the hood....why not put speakers/on ear headphones in a hoodie!? Well like usual Skullcandy has another great product right here, the bass on these things are amazing!! Whether your music has highs or lows, these things deliver. They're loud when you want them to be, they're quiet when you need them to be, its the Skullcandy Home Brew Kit. I'm going to go rock mine out now, bye!

These headphones are the best product by skull candy. I have had these for this snowboarding season. Get it with the hat! This is so nice in the sweatshirt, hat, or your HELMET! I put them in my helmet. Perfect for cruising on your Board in the fresh Pow or slipping them in your hat to go skate or bike in the fall or winter.

Yes, depending on what kind of headphones you want. I made a set of Soundproof "Cans" using these and a set of "Shooter's Ears".

Answer:
check to see if there are any pockets near where your ears are and if there are it is a helmet able to use the homebrew also, the fix would be perfect for listening to music on a motorcycle if you cannot use the homebrew in your helmet

Answer:
I've played numerous speakers taken out of their housings while submerged in water and they worked fine. Because they got soaked, the bass was gone because the water added weight to the driver. They should be totally fine for you. If you do find they get water in them, let the water evaporate out and you'll be fine
