I have two dogs...not very old and they still have puppy habits such as chewing up things. So that basically tells you I've what feels like thousands of ear buds. After my last pair that was chewed, I did some research and found Skullcandy. I had a debate with myself weather it was worth it or not because of my dogs so I decided to by a fairly cheap and easy replaceable pair. I wound up buying these and let me just say they are phenomenal. I absolutely LOVE them. Everything about them is 100% satisfying the value definitively, the quality of course, and the comfort, I hardly feel them. My favorite thing about them is the bass. I absolutely love a good dose of bass. To my surprise even, I STILL have them. I guess putting them in my top drawer turned out to be a good idea...lol! So anyway, thanks a million Skullcandy!

The Smokin Buds Rasta are the best in-ear headphones I have ever had. The bass is amazing and when I put them in I cant hear anything but my music. The only thing is they keep slipping out of my ear.

I like using wired headsets instead of bluetooth for my cell phone, because I don't like the idea of my brain getting irradiated, and I also use my cell phone as my music player when I exercise. All of the other headphones I would buy would fall apart in my purse, or I'd yank them and....well..you know. These headphones are not only indestructible, but give me GREAT sound! Admittedly, however, there's one that gives me a BIT more bass, but I didn't buy that kind, so technically I shouldn't have docked the review by one star. But I'm addicted to bass. P.S. I'm a teacher, and all of my students are enviously eyeing my headphones. They're like, "Are those skullcandies?" Teacher-tested, student-approved.

Ifr your looking for affordable, fantastic buds. These are the ones to get. They've got great bass, and fantastic treble. Ive worn them for my 2 hour warm up before basketball games, and they stay in, and are perfectly comfortable. The mic, is also amazing with my I phone, makes things a little easier for me. I personally wanted to try these headphones to satisfy my goals of extreme bass, but when I plugged it in, the bass was minimal! I had a pair of the ink'd and dub before, both were too much on the heights for me, but the bass was great. I expected a bigger, better boom from smokin buds, but they lack performance in that department. If you're looking for sound clarity, this is a good option, but for bass hungry people...... Look somewhere else.

For those of you wondering if the Mic1 works with Androids, they absolutely do. Whether you wanna listen to Bass-filled music, to talking business on your Android, iPhone, etc., these are the earbuds for you. I highly recommend these especially since you get great quality for a pretty low price.

These were the first ear buds that I spent more than a few bucks on and I have to say they're worth it. The mic works great and the fit is perfect. The only downside for me was the cord length.

I'm a huge fan of Skullcandy, but these aren't their best. Like someone else said, they just stopped working for me, after moderate use over a span of about 5 months. I didn't mistreat them or anything; they just stopped working. BUT....if you're the type of person who changes headphones after a couple of months anyway (I know some people who do), then these might be your fit. :)

These Smokin buds have amazing sound, I hear stuff that my itouch can't hear! The style on these are SO awesome, they match my Uprocks and itouch! There is one problem. They fall out a lot and they aren't all that comfortable, but besides that these are Smokin.

I bought these hoping they would sound and feel as cool as they look. Unfortunately thats not the case. I found the small ear cushion too small and the headphones would slide out regardless of which cushion was in place. When I held the earphones in place they sounded fantastic. But again, had to be held. Also, they control button doesn't work on my Android phone except to pause it. Not helpful at all. Overall I found these to be of no use and no better in fit or comfort than the cheap ones included with the phone. Maybe I need your input for other selections....

I really did like these, they have fantastic sound and noise isolation, BUT ive had mine for 8 months, and the left bud went out the other day. I was super careful...but since theres a lifetime warranty, id say its still a good investment.

voices and beats are crisp and bass is ok. Color wise the Skull isnt metallic its just regular red and dark grey is actually regular grey. THEY HAVE A FLAT CABLE TOO : ) its a flat cable but is still thin like regular cable and comes with little cloth bag to hold it. Also has dark red skull sticker and small medium large gels sizes.

I got a pair of these for Christmas, and put them in immediately. They sounded great and were very comfortable, and the mic worked nicely with my iPod. Unfortunately, in some freak accident, the right cord broke completely off one my first day. Sent them back to Skullcandy for a replacement pair. But I got a very nice impression from what I heard form them.

My very first pair of SK's and I used them everyday! My favorite color and good price so I got them. It sounds pretty nice and it's comfortable but definitely not recommended for those who hate noise cancelling. I've had these for about 6 months. I purchased a pair of these buds around August of this year and I have been using them about every day since. I really like how they feel and the performance is nice for when I'm not using my larger Headphones. The only problem is that the connection in the volume adjustment sort of comes out a little and I have to push it back in. However, I do put these buds under a lot of abuse so that's reasonable. I recommenced these buds to anyone who is looking to upgrade from their old iPod Earbuds or something of the like.

Why do my smokin buds sound muffled unless I push the mic button using my computer?
When I try to use my new smokin buds to listen to itunes on my computer the sound is very muffled and strange sounding, but if I press and hold down the mic button the sound is great! Who wants to listen to music while holding down a button though? Any help?

I remember a model of these that could change volume....What happened to that?
So, a year or two ago I bought a pair of Somkin' Buds from a retail store, and when I opened them, I noticed that they could change volume, but not make it play/pause/change track.. The way they changed the volume, instead of a button, was a slider, which (I'm assuming) controlled the amount of electricity to the headphones. Was that just an old model, or do they still sell these? They worked great for me when I had a mp3 player instead of an iPod.

This depends on the computer's headphone jack. I have used this headphone with skype, so long as I plug it into the right kind of jack. Some computers have two separate jacks for headphones and mic, while some later computers have one single 1/8" TRRS jack that combines headphone and mic (TRRS = tip, ring, ring, shield) - the same kind of jack found on iPhones. The mic's Skullcandy headphones has that kind of 1/8" TRRS plug. So if your computer does not have a single combined jack, you can buy a 'headset adapter' on Amazon that combines two jacks into one jack. Hope this helps.8 months ago

Headset seem to be incompatible with phone and/or music player. What am I doing wrong?
I recently bought the Smokin' Buds and am trying to figure out how it works completely. I found out (online) the remote controls, but apparently they don't seem to completely work with my phone at all or the app I am using. It only pauses and plays songs and answers calls. I am running Google Play Music on an Android Samsung Admire SCH-R720. Is there any way around that, or is there an app that I can use?

I can't say for the RAZR specifically, but it works with the Droid Bionic which is likely very similar in terms of software. The handsfree microphone controls don't work like the instructions say they should, but each device probably interprets controls differently and they are likely basing the instructions for the headphones off of the iOS operation.7 months ago

Why do my smokin buds sound muffled unless I push the mic button using my computer?
When I try to use my new smokin buds to listen to itunes on my computer the sound is very muffled and strange sounding, but if I press and hold down the mic button the sound is great! Who wants to listen to music while holding down a button though? Any help?

I remember a model of these that could change volume....What happened to that?
So, a year or two ago I bought a pair of Somkin' Buds from a retail store, and when I opened them, I noticed that they could change volume, but not make it play/pause/change track.. The way they changed the volume, instead of a button, was a slider, which (I'm assuming) controlled the amount of electricity to the headphones. Was that just an old model, or do they still sell these? They worked great for me when I had a mp3 player instead of an iPod.

This depends on the computer's headphone jack. I have used this headphone with skype, so long as I plug it into the right kind of jack. Some computers have two separate jacks for headphones and mic, while some later computers have one single 1/8" TRRS jack that combines headphone and mic (TRRS = tip, ring, ring, shield) - the same kind of jack found on iPhones. The mic's Skullcandy headphones has that kind of 1/8" TRRS plug. So if your computer does not have a single combined jack, you can buy a 'headset adapter' on Amazon that combines two jacks into one jack. Hope this helps.8 months ago

Headset seem to be incompatible with phone and/or music player. What am I doing wrong?
I recently bought the Smokin' Buds and am trying to figure out how it works completely. I found out (online) the remote controls, but apparently they don't seem to completely work with my phone at all or the app I am using. It only pauses and plays songs and answers calls. I am running Google Play Music on an Android Samsung Admire SCH-R720. Is there any way around that, or is there an app that I can use?

I can't say for the RAZR specifically, but it works with the Droid Bionic which is likely very similar in terms of software. The handsfree microphone controls don't work like the instructions say they should, but each device probably interprets controls differently and they are likely basing the instructions for the headphones off of the iOS operation.7 months ago

If you are in a quiet room and have them turned up all the way, yes people will be able to hear them. i tried double clicking and triple clicking, but it just direct calls.
is it because its used on the phone and not like an ipod?
i feel like i wasted my money if that's the case.
