BIO: The surfer known as “White Lightning” definitely lives up to the moniker. Mick Fanning is one of the fastest surfers in the world and has a habit of dominating events when he’s on. Case in point, the 2012 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, one of his favorite breaks, which he won in epic fashion. Winning at Bells is familiar territory for Fanning – it was here he claimed top spot as a wild card entry in 2001. Then, in 2002, he earned rookie of year honors on the pro tour and became two-time ASP World Champ (2007 and 2009).
