BIO: Balaram Stack is a gifted surfer out of Long Island, NY, where cold-water surf means snow-covered beaches and 40-degree water. Unfazed as a kid, Balaram – a name taken from the brother of Hindu god, Krishna – would often be in the water through February; which explains his recent trip off the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. Since age 14, Stack has been in search of the world’s best waves yet got the first professional win of his career with the coveted Unsound Pro mens title. He is currently ranked in the top 20 on the junior circuit.
