Einstein was a music lover from an early age. He began experimenting with his mom's turntables as a boy-genius before moving to his first set of Technics. The legend of his beat digging abilities can be traced back to a time when his massive LP collection was just taking shape. As his spinning prowess grew, Einstein came to accept his calling as the backbone of the Long Beach bred Hip Hop crew, Ugly Duckling. Despite the band's low media profile and often-changing label situations, they have built a unique and wide reputation for delivering soulful, humorous hip-hop. All the while, Einstein gaining recognition for his impeccable fader control and typically slamming drum-breaks. He and Andy have headed the production for the crew since their conception in ‘93.

In their latest LP, Audacity, Einstein takes to the turntables for the group's most epic DJ presentation to date: "Einstein Do It (Night on Scratch Mountain)". For this number, Einstein uses over one hundred different cuts in the whirlwind of vinyl manipulation and fader flux. He comments, "That's got to be some kind of world record right? My hands are still sore". With mountains of vinyl at his fingertips and a decade of experience, Einstein knows no boundaries. You better, “Keep your eye on the gold chain.”
