We brought the 2013 TransAM tour to a close this past Saturday in Park City, where spring conditions were in full-effect for park laps. The nine-stop amateur tour kicked off at Waterville Valley back in January, making its rounds in the east before migrating west and closing out at PCMR. Zumiez flew out the winners from each stop to come throw down at our home mountain for the best gal and guy to claim reign as the 2013 Transworld Snowboarding TransAM Contest winners…
With just two stops to go until the TransAM finals in PC on March 16th, we had another banger weekend at Mt Bachelor. In classic PNW fashion, Saturday’s event was filled with endless pow. The Skullcandy lifestyle permeates through our office every day of every season of every year. And nobody within our walls lives it more than Luke Edgar, O.G. snowboarder and Director of International Sales. This past weekend, Luke took to Mt. Baker, WA, to participate in the 28th annual legendary Banked Slalom snowboarding competition…
Despite this past weekend’s subzero temps in Minnesota, riders and Powder Ridge park crew prevailed at TransAM. This weekend’s contest had a new park design that was shaped to be different than our past stops. It was to say the least, gnarles. Joey Peterson brought it home for the dudes after riding like an animal on the cold snow and fast surface throughout the 16-degree day. He not only took first for the guys, but also won Zumiez best trick with a gap backside 360 to backside 180 on the Coal Headwear combo down flat down rail.
