After four days of competition and celebration the 2013 X Games have come to an end. Miss out this weekend? Don’t stress, we got you. The weekend kicked off with the ‘Mark McMorris vs Shaun White’ show in the Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle finals. Both had been consistently throwing triple corks during their practice runs but when it came down to crunch time, it was Mark McMorris ending up on top with a near flawless run…
We found ourselves deep in Steeler’s country for the third stop of the Trans Am at Seven Springs Pennsylvania. The weather was warm and sunny. Perfect conditions for the competitors to tackle the challenging course put together by Joel and the 7 Springs park crew. This stop had one of the most challenging courses that we’ve seen on the tour, which created a lot of carnage but also some of the gnarliest tricks to date.
Ah The Garden State… home to the spray-tan and fist pump. Skullcandy was stoked to return to Mountain Creek New Jersey for stop 2 of the Trans AM tour. Despite fierce conditions the park crew set up a SWEET course for competitors. Brett Stewart and Bekah Ashley held it down taking home 1st place. Prizes included a custom pair of Cassettes, Aviators, all black Epiphone heavy metal guitars, and more shwag than they could carry. We’ll see Brett and Bekah in Park City where they’ll represent New Jersey at the finals and ride…
There are few things better than a day spent shredding with friends, but we like to think riding with music is close to the top of that list. We met up with team riders Aaron Biittner, Zak Hale, and Justin Bennee for a day at Brighton Ski Resort testing out Skullcandy’s best new snow accessory this season, the Cassette. A headphone designed specifically for the beanie-wearing, hoodie-draped, music-jamming rider. Check out how these boys plug in and get down…
The TransWorld Snow TransAm presented by Skullcandy is back with a vengeance for its 11th anniversary. Keeping with tradition, we kicked off the tour at Waterville this past weekend where groms of all of sizes threw down on one of the most unique park builds out there. Kids were going nuts on the Skullcandy Cassette Tape feature built into the course and in the words of Adam Kisel, “Tim Major knocked the tape completely off of the spool with his heavy riding all day long.” How’s that for rocking?
