SKULLCANDY NZ Rail Jam
Christchurch Local Dave Nurse, rider for Quest took out 1st Prize in the Skullcandy Winter Rail jam last night on the Strip. Driving away in a car full of Export Gold, Jagermeister, Demon Energy Drink, 540s and Skullcandy Gear.
Prizes were valued at more than $5,500 and were distributed by a panel of judges who rated top tricks and aerials. Spectators picked up over $2,500 worth of prizes throughout the evening with a surprise package of over 200 pairs of headphones and bandanas arriving from Skullcandy in the USA to add to the spectator prize list!

This event sounds like the hottness. I ran across it as I was doing research for an event coming to the MidWest in March. I’m a snowboarder/bartender working with some peeps in Grand Rapids, Michigan who are putting on one of the biggest city rail jams in the MidWest. Right now we are working with Burton, Nixon Watches/Headphones, Dakine, Smith Optics EZ, Rome, Forum. Red Bull, and local snowboarding/media outlets to make this thing the biggest event to hit an urban setting in the MidWest. Right now we are still offering vendor space, and looking for someone to help with the Grand Prize for our winner to be as equally mammoth as out event promises to be. After reading the description of this Skull Candy USA event I’m hoping a sponsor or two will be as excited about this event as we are, and can offer help and/or suggestions with our Grand Prize.
