They partied, they skated, they conquered. Summer 2012 was one for the books for our skate boys Theotis Beasely and Eric Koston as they tore up the cobblestone streets of Europe. Theotis and Eric closed out the tour with a bang in the streets of Paris…
The Stonp “Autumn of Death Tour” van parked at our office in Tokyo for their final showing of the “Stonp or Die"premiere. Skullcandy helped host the epic event attended by about 200 people and many more who overflowed onto Cat Street in Harajuku. We set up monitors both inside and projecting out, toward the street, so that everyone got a chance to peep the new feature. Snow team member, Kazu Kokubo, packed the showroom with friends and family to check out his starring role in the film.
Episode two, we arrive at our second stop for Theo’s Euro Snaps… Copenhagen. We get to bike and skate. And skate. And bike. (#notraffic) Some trusting soul let us into Carlsberg Brewery where Theotis Beasley and Eric Koston got to explore the haunts and our crew got to imbibe. After the guys made the locals nervous, we hit the Copenhagen Pro for a more serious skate sesh, sort of. More behind-the-scenes video in Episode 2.
Barcelona, Spain was the first stop on Theo’s Euro Snaps tour. We really didn’t know what to expect but whatever it was, we were prepared to be stoked. We had our skate crew, Theotis Beasley, Sean Malto and Eric Koston. We had our itinerary – skate MACBA, Forum and Paral-lel, and stop at Free Boardshop for a signing session. Then, we went into full tourist mode, stopping for photo opps at famous places and historical monuments, eating ourselves silly and #RainingHesh upon the city.
In July, we documented members of the Skullcandy Skate Team – Theotis Beasley, Eric Koston and Sean Malto – skating Barcelona, Copenhagen and Paris, with cameramen and photographers in tow. It was a tour we dubbed Theo’s Euro Snaps. With our entourage safely home, we look back with a video teaser that captures the lighter moments of our trip. Check it out and then look for three full episodes from each city dropping soon.
