This past weekend, Skullcandy was able to get a behind the scenes look into the life and times of Sean Malto. Born and raised in Kansas City, Sean still calls the city home and was certainly the hometown hero in the first installment of Street League Skateboarding’s 2012 season at Sprint Center.
In just four months Dr. Tetsuro Oishi, Skullcandy’s Director of Electrical & Acoustical Engineering/Advanced Concept Engineering, has managed to take our best-selling Hesh headphone and make it into a sound engineering work-of-art. In his words, “Hesh 2 is one of the best sounding headphones under $400.”
We’re proud to introduce the Skullcandy Skate team, with a revamped and much-anticipated roster that includes some of skateboarding’s biggest names. Joining current team rider, Theotis Beasley, are Eric Koston, one of the most influential skaters of this generation, Sean Malto, 2011 Street League Champion, and Steve Berra, industry icon and filmmaker.
Today, Skullcandy is announcing the alliance of our performance lifestyle audio brand with The Berrics, a world-renowned indoor skate park and the most trafficked website in skateboarding. The partnership will help deliver the new Skullcandy Supreme Sound message around the world, via the integration of products and branding on theberrics.com as well as in the new Berrics skatepark and offices, which are slated to open later this year.
I know it’s been a short min, but it’s time again for State of Skate. 2011 is over, and 2012 is here.
