Surfer Blood formed after friends, John Paul Pitts (guitarist/vocalist) and Tyler Schwarz (drummer) met Thomas Fekete (guitarist), Brian Black (bassist), and Marcos Marchesani (percussionist) at an Ultra Music Festival after-party.
