Day 1 of E3 got us googly-eyed for the next round of releases in the gaming scene. Portugal. The Man released “Evil Friends” this week and as expected the record kicks ASS. The group managed to surpass the awesomeness of their last album In the Mountain In The Cloud with the help of Danger Mouse as a producer for this new piece of music glory. This album brings out a new edge to the group that we are definitely digging. Evil Friends has the perfect mix of melancholy, synth, and percussion. Red Fang is a rock band in the old school sense. They play heavy, guitar based jams; drink a lot of beer; and generally like fooling around. As evidence, check out their videos for Prehistoric Dog and Wires. Both great songs, but also hilarious video ideas and execution.
