Band Of The Week: Portugal. The Man RSS

We weren’t going to write about Portugal. The Man today. Another band was on the schedule, but pretty much since their new album, Evil Friends, came out last Tuesday, we haven’t been listening to much else. This is the band’s seventh record (all solid stuff), but it’s their first with Danger Mouse producing. Though it probably goes without saying, Danger Mouse has a serious Midas Touch…

Skullcandy Gaming - E3 2013 Day 1 RSS

This album brings out a new edge to the group that we are definitely digging. Evil Friends has the perfect mix of melancholy, synth, and percussion. We’re Loving on tracks “Creep In A T-Shirt” and “Hip Hop Kids”...

Band Of The Week: Red Fang RSS

Red Fang is a rock band in the old school sense. They play heavy, guitar based jams; drink a lot of beer; and generally like fooling around. As evidence, check out their videos for Prehistoric Dog and Wires. Both great songs, but also hilarious video ideas and execution. As a band, their second album, Murder the Mountains, was a big step forward. 2009’s eponymous debut album was great, but Murder the Mountains is a much more realized album where the craftsmanship of the songs takes…
