Seems to be a patern here with the Skullcandy team dominating the podium at Euro X Games this year. A huge huge congrats go out to Tom Wallisch for absolutely crushing the Euro X Slopestyle course. Tom wasn’t alone on the podium because he was joined by flow rider teen hart throb Bobby Brown and Jossi “Joss the Boss” Wells. TJ Schiller and Henrick Harlaut rounded out the top five. Amazing job Tom and well done team. Word

Congratulations are going out to Kaya for an amazing job in winning the first ever European X Games Gold. Now she has a couple of book ends with two Golds at X this year. Great job Kaya we knew you were going to slay it. Cheeers

Pearl City wins the NW/CAN/HI bracket in the tightest race yet

We knew we were onto something when principals sent out school-wide texts about Walk the Walk, begging their kids to vote for their school on hurley.com. But the spirit of competition continues to amaze us ‹ in this case, in the battle between West Vancouver, Pearl City and Kitsilano in Canada. The voting started a little slow last Wednesday, but in the past few days, it turned into a cage match that had two schools topping the 18,000 mark.

West Vancouver and Hawaii’s Pearl City were at it all day on the final day, pushing as many as 8,000 votes each in the last 12 hours. But in the end, at exactly 11:59 p.m., Pearl City proved to have more stamina, narrowly edging out Vancouver 18,755 to 18,560. “We eat the grindz, we ride the waves, we run the race and we walk the walk,” said the PCHS crew.

And while West Vancouver suffered a heart-breaking, eleventh-hour defeat, they’re anything but intimidated. “We’ve worked so hard and come so far and learned so much more than we ever expected,” said Kelly, Rachel and Gemma (in unison) from West Vancouver. “Not only have we learned about movie-making and marketing, we learned about teamwork and planning. It’s not just about Hurley, it’s about self-expression.”

Hurley Walk the Walk, supported by Skullcandy and Converse, is now in its next phase of challenges. The prompt this time around? Show us your best Phantom/Lowrider expression. The Eastern Bracket is up first, the results are impressive. Go to www.hurley.com/wtw to see all the submissions and vote for your favorite.

Voting for the Eastern Bracket ends next Tuesday, 3/16, at 11:59 p.m. Kellam currently has a narrow lead over Toms River East, and we’re only getting started. Looks like another crazy week for Walk the Walk.
