Surfer Blood formed after friends, John Paul Pitts (guitarist/vocalist) and Tyler Schwarz (drummer) met Thomas Fekete (guitarist), Brian Black (bassist), and Marcos Marchesani (percussionist) at an Ultra Music Festival after-party. The quintet immediately began recording and touring. After recording their debut album, Astro Coast in John’s apartment the band took off and slayed four tours with artists like Art Brut and Japandroids in their first five months together…
