After 8 weeks off, the west coast lites riders where back at it in Seattle this past weekend. Joey Savatgy made his way up to 8th after a rough start in the main event while Broc Tickle had a solid ride in Seattle taking 7th. On Saturday, Binary Star, Mobb Deep, and Talib Kweli brought the beats to Salt Lake at the annual Elevated Minds Festival. Kweli closed out the day of hip-hop debauchery after DJ Spintelect did a 5-minute warm up set of some of the craziest scratch technique we’ve seen. Skullcandy Family member DJ Tina T is a current contender for VH1’s hit reality television show “Master of the Mix” – a weekly celebration of a premier group of DJ talent showcasing their turntable skills. This is the only reality-based competition for viewers to see their favorite Mix Masters compete in an open deejaying forum, and our girl Tina has been slayin’ it.
