Skullcandy Presents: Week In Music 8.16.13

Freshies: Arctic Monkeys “Why’d you Only Call Me When You’re High?”

New track from the indie rock/dance-punk band Arctic Monkeys is blaring through our cans this week in anticipation for their next record AM slated to drop early next month. This the third release from the upcoming album and we love its epic down tempo, stompy black-keys beats, accompanied by lead singer Alex Turner’s soulful rasp.

Watch Out For: Lusine

Texas native Jeff Mcllwain’s latest album Waiting Room is the best yet from the producer. All about ambient tracks that are highly melodic with ghostly vibes Lusine is a master creating natural sense of wonder in his music. Check out “Operation Costs”, “Two Dots”, and Panoramic for first listens.

Currently Obsessed With: Per Byhring “Ettertid”

Stumbled upon this beat recently and can’t stop listening to it. Perfect for road trips, this techno zone-out vibe will get you cruising through whatever you’re focused on.

Follow Skullcandy on Spotify for new music weekly.
