We’re resurrecting past favorite albums of ours just in time for the creation playlists. If you are looking for something to listen to while you're grilling or just hanging around, may we suggest Speaking in Tongues by Talking Heads. Friday is the 30-year anniversary of this album's release, but we still rock it all the time. Talking Heads albums always have a timeless feel, but Speaking in Tongues has aged remarkably well. Maybe because it's hard to imagine their music being written by anyone else at any point in time. The record is odd, light, dark, and at the same time distinctly playful in tone. Speaking in Tongues is an emotional combination of beats, to say the least and this mix that has never failed us as a soundtrack to a good party. Throw on “Making Flippy Floppy” or “Burning Down The House” and you’ll find everyone starting to nod their head and shaking their asses to the beat.
