So we already touched base on the awesomeness of Random Access Memories in our most recent Week In Music, but now we can share the awesomeness with you. Electro fans and music enthusiasts alike have long awaited the return of the Robots. From numerous rumors about Coachella appearances, artist collaborations, and album releases, Random Access Memories has finally come to fruition. And we love it. Although the record has received mixed reviews with fans crying over a “lack of techno”, we wholeheartedly disagree. The French duo has reinvented themselves with the most diverse and instrumentally impactful creation to date. With vocal appearances by Julian Casablancas of the Strokes, Pharrell Williams, Panda Bear from Animal Collective, and producer colabs with Todd Edwards, Chilly Gonzales, Giorgio Moroder, as well as composer Paul Williams, Daft worked with only the most prestigious talent in the biz. Listen to Random Access Memories and learn about the relationships Daft Punk forged with their partners in “The Collaborators” series below.
