Martin de Thurah makes beautiful art. You know when you see something and you just can't tear yourself away from it? Spellbinding; that might be the word. That’s literally what it's like to experience a Martin de Thurah music video. After graduating from the National Film School in Denmark, Martin got his start in 07’ directing the 25 min short, ‘We Who Stayed Behind’ and the 45 min, ‘Young Man Falling’, the latter of which was selected for the Critics Week in Cannes. From there, he soon began gaining recognition for his work filming commercials, and numerous music videos for artists such as James Blake, Feist, Editors, Royksopp and David Byrne, picking up MVA’s and other awards along the way.
The video that first caught us is Carpark North's Human, but the rest of these are also amazing.
James Blake's cover of Feist's Limit to Your Love.
Royksopp's What Else Is There
Feist's The Bad in Each Other
Our personal favorite has to be David Byrne & St. Vincent's Who
This guy is really good, and you're gonna wanna block out some time to watch all of his videos. All in all we just can't wait to see what this guy does next.
