Band Of The Week: A$AP Ferg

It's hard to define exactly what it is A$AP Mob does. Fashion? Hip Hop? Professional tastemakers? They’re influencing youth culture in many forms but most strongly through music. Within the group, last year belonged to A$AP Rocky. Kid crushed it on tour last fall, and released house party staples that had everyone dancing for the beat to drop. That said, if you were looking for a rapper for the future, and not just from A$AP Mob, we recommend A$AP Ferg.

If you wanna know what the Fergenstein is all about you gotta understand what a Trap Lord is. A Trap Lord is a trill Rap Lord, a robin hood of the hood, meaning that you trapin', but you still got the Lord on your conscience (the female counterpart is a Trap Goddess). Basically it’s someone who rules at hustling in whatever they're involved in. If that's true, then Ferg is right to call himself a Trap Lord, because the man can straight up rap. Vicious flow, creative rhymes, just nasty all around. For what we think is the best example to date, check out his single Work. You can also here him on A$AP Mob's Lord$ Never Worry.

A$AP Ferg has his own solo mix tape Trap Lord, on its way and includes a remixed version of Work. If you wanna watch the next thing happen, you should keep an eye out for the Fergenstein.
