The Skullcandy moto team was on fire once again at the Minneapolis SX this past weekend. Ryan Dungey, Wil Hahn and Broc Tickle all revealed crowd-pleasing performances. In the 250 main event, Wil Hahn shot off the start to second place and battled to hold that spot through the entire race with Blake Wharton. As the two switched places numerous times, Hahn was able to pull ahead and secure 2nd place on the podium with Wharton finishing in third. With one final race ahead, Hahn remains in first place in the points standings.
This wasn’t the end of the excitement, however. The biggest upset came in the 450 main event when hometown hero, Ryan Dungey, ticked past Ryan Villopoto at the finish line by a miniscule 0.9 seconds. The suspense brought the crowd to their feet as they watched the duo battle neck and neck for 20 laps. Dungey remains in 2nd place overall in the points standings.
Broc Tickle finished 13th in the 450 main event, which will keep him in the top 10 of the championship points standing. We’re looking forward to the outcome of next weeks race in Seattle.
Wil Hahn will keep the red plate and the points lead going into the final round in Las Vegas for the Lites shootout.
