We brought the 2013 TransAM tour to a close this past Saturday in Park City, where spring conditions were in full-effect for park laps. The nine-stop amateur tour kicked off at Waterville Valley back in January, making its rounds in the east before migrating west and closing out at PCMR. Zumiez flew out the winners from each stop to come throw down at our home mountain for the best gal and guy to claim reign as the 2013 Transworld Snowboarding TransAM Contest winners. Some serious talent made their way to the finals to showcase their skills and rep their home mountains in some of the most progressive park builds to date.

The “traffic jam” portion of the contest lived up to its name.
We kicked off the weekend with the 18 riders on Friday in PC on a giant group date filled with fine dining, intellectual conversation and an Anti-Flag concert.

The crew rallied Saturday morning amped on their trip and ready to compete. Once the PC qualifiers were chosen it was on to the final showdown where each hometown rep pulled out the stops. Park City took us back in time with one of the most fun setups the tour has ever seen. The course was modeled after an old school snake run, skate bowl loaded with snow features including our signature Cassette. Non-competitors were poaching runs throughout the day and an all out session broke loose as soon as the contest completed.
