The Skullcandy lifestyle permeates through our office every day of every season of every year. And nobody within our walls lives it more than Luke Edgar, O.G. snowboarder and Director of International Sales.
This past weekend, Luke took to Mt. Baker, WA, to participate in the 28th annual legendary Banked Slalom snowboarding competition. The weather that brought 2’ of fresh pow to the mountain was not the only thing that took Mt. Baker by storm. After 14 years absent from the event, Luke shred his way through qualifiers on Friday posting a time of 1:52.06, good for 3rd place and a spot in the finals.
Now Luke would humbly tell you that it’s not about the competition or prizes. It’s about the camaraderie and chance to hang with industry legends like Terje, Jamie Lynn, Palmer, Tex, Matt Godwill… and the list goes on. That’s all good and well but that didn’t stop him from bringing his A-Game.
On Sunday after a good night’s rest (cough cough…), Luke ripped through the gates to finish 1st in the Grand Masters class with a time of 1:44.24. Nice work buddy… bring that gold medal (roll of duct tape) home to Park City!
