Over 200 industry friends, peers, and athletes converged on the new Skullcandy Shanghai office which, for many, was their first view of the unique culture that is Skullcandy. DJ Bite Size Buddha played a two hour set while the Skullcandy China skate team sessioned the office mini ramp and vert wall (forever after dubbed “The Great Wall of Shanghai”).
After three years in China, with sales being overseen by a distributing partner, Skullcandy officially cut the ribbon on our very own Sales and Marketing headquarters based in downtown Shanghai. To kick off the event, we sent execs, Aaron Behle, VP International, and Tetsuro Oishi, Director of Electrical & Acoustical Engineering/Advanced Concept Engineering, to answer questions from a multitude of media about Skullcandy's China initiative. Oishi delivered our Supreme Sound message to eager audiophiles in the office's “Supreme Sound Experience” room, while those inclined to play tested out our new gaming headsets in the Astro game room.

To cap off the evening, we convinced a handful of skaters to take part in a jam session on the Skullcandy wall. Several went vertical for cash prizes.

Our presence in China emphasizes our dedication to building the Skullcandy brand globally, while embracing local cultures. Cheers to long-term success.
