This past weekend, Skullcandy was able to get a behind the scenes look into the life and times of Sean Malto. Born and raised in Kansas City, Sean still calls the city home and was certainly the hometown hero in the first installment of Street League Skateboarding’s 2012 season at Sprint Center. Between Street League, the premiere of Escapist’s “Red and Yellow” video, and Red Bull’s Manny Mania kickoff stop at City Market, thousands of eager fans came out to see their favorite skater do what he does best; skate.
Sean’s success in the first two seasons of Street League, including claiming the Street League Championship last season, prove he is one of the top skaters around. Malto skated strong, advancing directly to Saturday’s final after placing second in the Preliminary Qualifier. Sean finished Saturday in seventh place, but Team Malto was out in full force and never stopped cheering.
