We have even more respect for the beard now that our own crew member, James Harden, has won the NBA Sixth Man Award. Harden came off the bench to score in double figures in almost every one of the 62 games of the 2011-12 strike shortened season. Plus, he had respectable numbers all the way around in rebounds, assists and shooting. It’s no surprise that Harden was the runaway winner of the award, with 115 of a possible 119 first-place votes.
Next up for our man, James, is taking the Oklahoma City Thunder deep into the playoffs. A first-round sweep of the defending champs, the Dallas Mavericks, was a great start. Our congratulations go out to James Harden for his incredible work on and off the court. Thunder up!
