SKDY rider Russell Bobbitt secured his fourth AMA National Enduro Championship with a win over teammate Charlie Mullins at the final round of the 2011 AMA National Enduro Series.
Leading up to the final round of the series, Mullins was leading Bobbitt by only one point in the championship chase. Both riders came into the final round knowing that no matter what place they finished, whoever beat the other would be crowned the series champion. Both riders went at it all day and it was Russell who came out on top to win his 4th Championship.
Following in kind, SKDY rider Kurt Caselli was crowned the 2011 AMA National Hare & Hound Champion, after a second-place finish at this weekend’s event gave him enough points to lock up the overall title.
Caselli remarked, “I knew going into this race that I just had to finish ahead of David Pearson and I would be able to win the championship, so my goal was to ride my own race and focus on making no mistakes and staying ahead of David.” After a third-place start, he was able to do just that.
Congratulations to both riders from all of us at Skullcandy.
