ISA Festival: What You Missed

ISA festival set sail Saturday afternoon in Long Beach, alongside the world famous Queen Mary cruise liner. The perfect weather and idyllic scenery were accompanied by a set list that had the crowd shrieking and bouncing all day long. B.O.B. started off the event with his head nod to hip-hop. Other heavy hitters to share the stage throughout the day included YouTube stars Wong Foo and Jennifer Chung. Seasoned acts that brought the crowd to its feet: David Choi, Sean Kingston and Far East Movement.
There may have been only one spot that was even more crowded than front and center of the stage, and that was the Skullcandy tent. Wong Foo stopped by and did an impromptu signing for their innumerable fans and the line had to curve around itself multiple times in order to avoid becoming a fire hazard or flash mob. Not to be outdone was the dance crew IME, last years winners of Americas Best Dance Crew. They took photos and even had dance-offs with the fans who waited for hours to join them in our tent.
Backstage the Skullcandy crew bumped into NBA Lakers Star Joe Smith and let him try on our insanely comfortable RocNation Aviators. At first we were just going to let him try them on but we soon realized he was too tall to grab them off his head. Eventually we were forced to admit that they looked better on him than on us, and he went home with his own pair. YouTube sensations, NBA players and featured artists aplenty mingled backstage and as the night fell over the crowd, The Queen Mary lit up and blew its foghorn, signaling the end of an insane festival.
