Weekend action at Lower Trestles saw Mick Fanning, Kai Otton and Pat Gudauskas move on to Round 2 at the Hurley Pro, where Mick has already taken down Rob Machado to move into Round 3 and current world #2 Owen Wright will skip into the semis.
