Coming up this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday is the 4th Annual 2011 New York Surf Film Fest, presented by Skullcandy. The New York Surf Film Festival is the premier showcase for international, independent, and established surf films. The New York Surf Film Festival’s aim is to build upon and shape the idea of what a surf movie is, while fostering the growth of this global community in NYC. Going down just South of Union Square at Cinema Village: 22 East 12th Street Between Broadway & 5th Ave, (212) 924-3363, cinemavillage.com. While the movies will be going non-stop for the 3 days from roughly 7pm-12pm, feel free to stop by next door and join the party @ Stand 4 Burger Restaurant & Beer Bar, where there will be an Open Bar & Free Food for all ticket holders. @ just $12 per ticket, that’s definitely the cheapest open bar in NYC! To make it even better, the hamburgers there are absolutely amazing, some of the best in the city. And to top it all off Skullcandy will be providing the sound every night with our NYC DJ, Doc Delay. Don’t miss it.
