Skullcandy surf shred Kolohe Andino made it a perfect 2 for 2 in Vans Pro events this weekend, winning the Vans Pro at the East Coast Surfing Championships despite the less-than-optimal conditions that preceded an event-stopping storm. Kolohe battled the dismal flat-to-2-foot Virginia Beach swell in a marathon contest schedule, trying to finish the event before Hurricane Irene made landfall, and crept out with the top spot before organizers called off the rest of the weekend. On his road to victory Kolohe took out a heavy list of top competitors including Brian Toth, Leigh Sedly, Luke Davis and Evan Thompson. This result moves Kolohe up in the ASP World rankings.
