Q: Who are you and what is your role at the Sun Diego?
A: Pete Censoplano VP Operations/Marketing
Q: Favorite New Headphone?
A: The Aviator fo sho….my kids think I look gangster
Q: Tell me about the new Fashion Valley location you just opened.
A: Our main priority when designing this store was to give our customers a different and memorable experience. We’re big believers in presenting our products in a compelling and premium way…our intention was to heighten the senses of our customers while they shop. Some of examples of the elements we used are art gallery walls, an abstract wave feature that comes off our shoe wall, display cases that house surfing and skateboarding memorabilia, etc.
Q: You guys just had your Players Club Party.. What’s the story there?
A: We do a party/awards ceremony for all of our employees who sell over $100K. Since it is our 30 year anniversary and we were established in 1981, each store dressed in an 80s TV show theme…it was pretty classic, one store dressed as revenge of the nerds, another was WWF wrestlers from the 80s, and I was Magnum P.I. Just a fun way to show our employees we love them.
Q: Who has the worst tattoo at one of the shops? What is it?
A: I would have to say Graham Smith from Belmont. He has a huge tribal tramp stamp on his lower back. Definitely ask him about it….he loves to show it off:) Close second would be Ambra from corporate. She had a Volcom Stone tattoo on her wrist…she just had it covered up though.
Q: Who is your favorite female surfer?
A: I’m gonna go with Alana Blanchard for obvious reasons.
Q: 70’s, 80’s or 90’s music??
A: Definitely the 90s….that’s when I was in my prime
Q: Playlist of 3 songs that would represent the shops?
A: Afro Man “Because I Got High”
David Haselhoff “The Best Is Yet to Come”
