Datarock lands in Rolling Stone’s top 100
Friday, December 21st, 2007It’s true. Rolling Stone magazine released its top 100 songs of 2007 and coming in at number 88 was Computer Camp Love by Datarock. Congratulations to the band! These high-energy rockers from Norway never fail to get any crowd hyped and dancing, no matter how…er, patriotic (the polite way to say obese and/or lethargic when referring to an average sample of US citizens) concert goers may be.

Datarock played their first live show in Utah this week with Shiny Toy Guns. We hope they make it back soon, because they’re an office staple for some of us at Skullcandy HQ. And we’re looking forward to the 2008 US release of a new album on the newly-combined Dim Mak / Downtown label. Here are a few pics of Skullcandy being Data-rocked by Fredrik and the fellas.

DJ Gmo & Dan Sena on francoshade.com, Gmo rep’n Skullcandy
Tuesday, December 4th, 2007Guillermo Arce, aka DJ Gmo, is looking good in this pic, posted on francoshade.com’s blog, sporting his staple Skullcandy SK PRO headphones in blue and white, flawlessly styled with the rest of his ensemble. We know, who would expect less from anyone employed by Paul Frank Industries? In fact, we dropped in on our friends at Paul Frank last week and were predictably inspired anew by the creative PF environment and the zero-pretense, personal style of every last person over there. PF Creative Director, Juan Mendez, also DJs with the SK PROs. And man, does that cat have deep knowledge of music. But we digress…
Go check out Gmo and fellow DJ in the photo, Dan Sena, at the Busy Work parties at Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa, CA.
