The Faint. Period.

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

We don’t really need an excuse to post something about The Faint. They just deserve it. That’s how good the band is. Super nice people, too. Easily one of the best live shows, which you would know if you got to see them headline The Neighborhood Music Festival in LA recently. And so on… Here’s a pic of Jacob, Todd and Clark from The Faint posing in Skullcandy headphones. The good thing is that Jacob and Todd actually wear SK PROs when they DJ…

The power of pink

Friday, October 26th, 2007

In addition to supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness Month during October, Skullcandy is a proud supporter of the year-round Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) program. Skullcandy donates five percent of sales of its pink Smokin Buds and pink icon headphones to B4BC to help promote the awareness and early detection of and education about this deadly disease.

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, programs like B4BC, and to those of you who support this worthy effort: We salute you.

If you haven’t given much thought as to how you can support the fight against breast cancer, let these pics remind you to step it up. It’s not as if you have to lose your sense of style in the process. Au contraire…

Uffie / Quang Le / Skullcandy

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Ed Banger recording artist and idol among hipsters, Uffie, and professional fashion/music/action photographer Quang Le were good enough to slow down for a photo after an Uffie gig in LA. What are those delicious-looking headphones around Uffie’s neck, you ask? Why, those are Skullcandy Hesh model headphones with a red on black headband and ear caps and zebra-print faux fur ear pads.

Wakeboarder Randall Harris reps Skullcandy at Pro-Am

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Randall Harris, Huntington Beach resident and top pro wakeboarder, was caught on film running this dope pair of white/gold MFM-signature Lowrider headphones by Skullcandy. It’s always cool when “candid” pics are ACTUALLY candid…like this one. Thanks for the support, Randall!

Skullcandy presents Oct/Nov VICE CD sampler

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

If the names Vice Records and Vice Magazine don’t mean anything to you, DON’T TELL ANYONE. Politely excuse yourself from whatever you’re doing and do little two-step side shuffle down to the nearest reputable newsstand and pick up the latest copy of Vice. While reading it cover to cover twice, treat your ears and soul to the badass music on this month’s CD sampler included in the mag.

In the collective spirit of Halloween, Vice, Skullcandy, the general darkness of this mortal coil, yet in no way related to the final album cover art of Spinal Tap’s “Smell the Glove,” Vice CD Volume 14 | Number 10 is the perfect soundtrack for The Fear Issue. Scaaarrry art by Milano Chow and David Choe haunt the cover and CD, respectively.

Plug in your Skullcandy headphones and let the music change your life. You’ll love it. And no one will ever call you “loser” to your face ever again. Ever.

Public Enemy DJ/producer Johnny Juice gets down with Skullcandy

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

That’s right, THE Public Enemy - the iconic hip hop group celebrating 20 years of thought-provoking oratory and ill-as-it-gets beats (1987-2007). PE’s DJ Johnny ‘Juice’ Rosado works his magic in the studio and on stage using Skullcandy’s SK PRO DJ headphones. And when he’s not decompressing in peace, Juice runs Skullcandy Skullcrusher headphones with mini-subs in each ear. Now that’s whassup!

Skullcandy FMJ earbuds still rock after TWO spin cycles!

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Apparently his day job as head of sports marketing for PONY isn’t enough for Mr Colin Brickley. By night (and perhaps also weekends), C-note runs a top secret freelance product testing program at his hidden underground (babe) lair, solely for the benefit of companies whose gear he admires. The results for Skullcandy’s FMJ 11mm earbuds are in: They can survive at least two spin cycles in Mr Brickley’s tougher-than-normal washing machine and still deliver the clean, full-spectrum sound that looks great in a camera photo.

Amazing. And the FMJs are solid, too.

Lindsay pumps volume, hoists pumpkins in Skullcandy

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

As it turns out, Lindsay Lohan hasn’t left all of her Hollywood sass back in LA while she’s been resting up in Utah. Li-Lo was spotted in the pumpkin patch during recess rocking a purple pair of Skullcandy Lowrider headphones. The Lowrider comes in nine different colors, which makes it the perfect audio accessory for just about any pair of sweats. Betchya that’s grape-flavored gum she’s chewing too!
