SKULLCANDY STACKS DESIGN TEAM WITH VETERAN
Industrial designer Pete Kelly brings talent, creative vision with new categories on the horizon
(Park City, UT April 15, 2009) - Skullcandy, a developer of core audio products, is proud to welcome seasoned expert Pete Kelly as director of industrial design to its creative team, further reinforcing the company's leading position in the audio accessories industry with innovative products and presenting opportunities for expansion into new categories. Kelly brings more than 10 years of timepiece design expertise from his previous roles at the Vestal Group, a fashion watch company focused on music, entertainment, active and lifestyle-centric based brands, as well as at Fossil working on premium labels.

As director of industrial design, Kelly will be responsible for the design and development of new product implementation meant to add to Skullcandy's current design successes. In addition, he will oversee the daily activities of the design department, as well as push industry limits for new product creativity and innovation, both in current and new markets.
Pete spent five years at Vestal contributing a creative eye and business edge in a variety of leading roles, including: general manager licensing of Vestal Group, design director of Vestal Brand, design director of Vestal Group, as well as playing a vital part in Vestal receiving the SIMA Image Awards' 2007 Breakthrough Brand of the Year. Kelly was part of an impressive design team that was responsible for bringing a variety of iconic timepieces to market. During his tenure, Pete also contributed to designing watches for Vans, Paul Frank, and Gwen Stefani's own Harajouku Lovers/Lamb line. Kelly, Fossil's first-ever industrial designer, was a leader to the company's industrial design team from 1998 to 2004, working on top-of-the-line brands like Diesel, DKNY, Armani, Burberry, Philippe Starck, Frank Gehry, and Fossil.
